T10, did you purposely water down the graphics?

I just wanted to get a productive discussion going around the graphics for the devs to take notes from.

  • The track surface graphics look like they took them from FM 4 and gave them a slight touch up. What gives?

  • The car models do not even look as good as the Forzavista cars of FM 5. Again, what gives?

  • HDR values do not appear to be correct.

  • RT is a big hit or miss at the moment. It does not truly reflect the world in the car’s paintwork for instance.

Are we stuck with this or will it be improved in time?

I love the more realistic look of the game, it’s a welcome departure from the previous games’ bright and oversaturated look. But I’m just seeing too many visual inconsistencies in the game, and this doesn’t count the dozens of visual glitches people have reported.

Translated, next time just use google translate and post it in english

As much as the gameplay, especially while driving, is very good, but for the graphics, it’s not good at all on console…(the original support for the Forza series)…you lied to the fans by selling them sumptuous graphics , tire smoke effects, tire tracks on the ground, ray tracing etc…EXCEPT that everything is only with the “quality” mode, the latter almost unusable, even unplayable…, (30 fps) on a game racing, everyone knows that it’s unplayable, you first…so YES, you LIED to the Xbox switcher about the Xbox graphics result…(same series x)…passionate about Forza from the start,…there, you really disappointed me, and shook my confidence… take the example of Gran Turismo 7 on Ps5… less powerful console and MUCH superior graphics… In short, I preferred Microsoft’s Xbox just for Forza, but there, if it is for this ROTTEN result of the performance mode, without quick correction of the title, it will be over for me… I am selling the game and console to go to Sony… yes I am very disappointed… (only the gameplay and the touch of the track made a jump ahead)

As for the gameplay, especially behind the wheel, it’s very good, but for the graphics, it’s not good at all on console…(the original support for the Forza series)…you lied or hid it from the fans by selling them sumptuous graphics, tire smoke effects, tire marks on the ground, ray tracing etc…EXCEPT ALL of this is only possible with the “quality” mode, except that the latter is almost unusable, even unplayable… ., (30 fps) on a racing game, everyone knows that it is unplayable, with Rt mode the graphics are runny and the cars are horrible. Forza 7 did better…(only performance mode is correct… .you LIED to the Xbox community about the Xbox graphics rendering…(even on series x)…passionate about Forza from the start, you disappointed me, and I lost confidence…, don’t say not that the Xbox lacks power.!, take the example of Gran Turismo 7 on Ps5…less powerful console and LARGELY superior graphics, I invested in Microsoft’s Xbox just for Forza, but there, without quick correction of the title, it will be over for me…I’m reselling the game and console to go to Sony…(only the gameplay and the touch of the track took a leap forward)…

I play at 4k at medium details and the graphics are 5/10, at night the track looks so bad like from Minecraft, so grainy.

I was excited when I seen the trailers that was similar graphics as NFS Unbound but the game doesnt looks like anything like the trailers and its very bugged. Mainly the lighting is so poor quality.

What kind of TV’s are you guys using? The game looks spectacular in HDR on my OLED. It’s not going to look as good on a standard LED. You at least need a QLED to really appreciate the graphics. A lot of this is TV dependent. Did you calibrate your TV and turn all the motion stuff off? Saying it looks like FM4 is out of left field. This game looks amazing better than any other Motorsport. You don’t want so many smoke effects that you cannot see like in Horizon. We don’t need to hit each other because of a ridiculous amount of smoke. It’s not realistic. It’s annoying in Horizon and just right now in Motorsport.

I use 4k wide screen monitor. You should compare graphics to NFS Unbound or even Forza horizon 5 looks somewhat better, altough the enviroment is so bad, there is one track with forest which looks awesome, then one track in tropical forest whcih looks okish and rest of the game is like desert which looks mediocre but overall still better then this.

What sort of LED panel is it? You cannot compare it to Horizon. Open world and track are two very different things. Race tracks are rather boring in regards to scenery of course and Horizon will look a lot more interesting. The sky looks better in Horizon. I’m not seeing it to be grainy at night at all. I’ve played the NFS I wasn’t impressed at all. Sounds like you are on a PC.

I’m playing on a 4K HDR HDMI 2.1 gaming monitor, and this game doesn’t look anywhere like it should. Among the many, many graphical failures, a lot of manufacturer colors are dulled and muted and nowhere near as vibrant as the real deals are.

Yes I am on high end pc, If you played NFS then you should remember the asphalt texture and the watter there. The level of details is insane. 10/10 graphics. FH5 is like 7/10 graphics. Motorsport is 5/10. At my pc at 4k. I play only on medium tho, even ppl with 4090 have fps drops on ultra details. This game is trash console port. Totally unoptimized and full of bugs and freezes. Total mess.

Huh? What circuit do you mean that looks terrible at night? I think this is the only time the game looks halfway decent. The rest is just… Bad

Watch some comparisons between the reveal gameplay & the launch version. Some are very detailed & point out the very obvious downgrades in lighting, reflections, atmospheric effects & track surface detail.

By adjusting the HDR and different settings on your screen you will have a nice surprise

Bro, you’re a
“You cant compare the graphics they took on Tuesday if you’re playing on Sunday”

Genuinely don’t know if you’re doing this act as a joke for the sake of irony. Like playing some kind of satirical character or what. But when you’re so measurably wrong, your posts get pretty ridiculous to read.

You should never have to adjust a calibrated TV or Hometheater Audio set up for any one game, movie, etc. If you are using a TV out of the box without at least researching some basic recommendations on settings then yes it could help. This FM for me looks best on regular performance, the others just aren’t consistent.
