Do you guys think this game can be saved?
Every time this game updates there is new bugs in it. I start to believe there is someone trying so hard to forza not succeed. I’ve been on this forums from 2011 and been playing Forza from 2008. I switched from playstation and Gran Turismo to Forza because of the feeling on controller and graphics were better, cars sounded better but now I feel like they are trying to kill Forza, car sounds they are just awful, 5 updates and the game still crashes, the game still does have bugs, when updates it gets new bugs. Things are not being done correctly. We get a new game that was in development for 6 years that lacks tracks, lacks drag racing, drift racing, the menus are dull I can’t even move camera when switching rims or liveries. I can’t even join a public lobby created by someone, we are forced to play what they throw at us Wich sometimes is cool but I miss a lot of features that older Forza had. This game everyday is getting videos on YouTube getting recked on comparisons. How can we let this happen? How can someone cannot see this inside of T10 ?I just keep wonder how. It is too much to report, I’ve done my job of reporting what I find wrong but I’m just thinking on giving up and what revolts me is that they release trailers on YouTube saying “in game 4k gameplay” and the game doesn’t look the same on Xbox Series X not even on quality mode. Not everything is bad of course I love the feeling on controller and love the progression system but that does not compensate the hard time I have accepting this is Forza Motorsport a franchise that always spoiled us with great graphics and bringing realism into the game. Okay I know it’s a game and I shouldn’t feel sad but it’s hard when you create a relationship with a game and people who you met playing the games. There is such a long road ahead yet. Update 6.0 will introduce more bugs and that is a shame for them. The game lacks the attention to details, This is worrying because this can damage the future of the Motorsport side. People will always remember of this failure for sure, humans tend to remember more bad thins than good things trust me. Yesterday there was only 2 people on a lobby, the game is dying. I think I’m going stop play it until the end of the year because it hurts more playing like this. Peace
It can be saved but it will take…6 more years to do so.
For that time a new Motorsport is released and a new Xbox
Too hard to read, use paragraphs if you expect people to read your comments.
With a little initiative you too can have fun again. I enjoy the interesting tracks (even the fictional ones) with their height differences. The busy environments, detailed road surfaces that appear alive in the light, attractive cockpit interior views and detailed, sharp images of the route and traffic far ahead. Every now and then a race in the snow or on sand. Track marshals with blue flags and AI opponents who turn on the indicator and let you pass when you approach at high speed on the Nordschleife. And there are rain races that don’t look like a fair. I’ve been experiencing all of this since I switched to PS5/GT7 almost 2 months ago.
Yeah i don’t read such textblocks, it hurts the eyes.
You seem to be one of the ones for whom it CAN’T be saved, critical of every aspect and seeing No positives whatsoever. In which case, goodbye.
No, unless Microsoft stops the way they contract game developers. The cycle of messy development will continue, and we will continue to get lackluster products.
Programming a game with modest graphics is not inherently objectionable. Just trying to sell this as a graphic highlight, as Triple A, is fraudulent.
I tend to agree with you there and just add that it’s about time Frame Gen is introduced to FM. It would help a lot. Also, installing mirrors on the left and right, for drivers who use bonnet or inside cams.
Online races should have a system where those who don’t care, are penalized by subtracting performance from their engines instead of adding time. So, the addition of side mirrors and the deduction of power output, IMO, would make this game so much better… Cheers
Game looks fine on my Xbox Series X on a 4K TV… Dunno what else to tell you. But OP clearly will not accept any positives in the game.
It looked fine on my monitor too…at points. Doesn’t really change the fact that for a lot of other people across multiple platforms, it still looks bad or is just broken.
‘Good’ is a relative term. 10 years ago, a graphic like this would have been in the top third. Today we have moved on. If you dared to compare it with GT7 on a console of roughly the same power, then your assessment would probably be different.
If the cost of the FM greaphics is due to the new phisics I’m really fine as what we got, If the graphics is more important for you noone stops you from playing GT7
Of course FM doesn’t stop me from playing GT7. I’m complaining here because I paid €100 for something that hasn’t been delivered yet. I also spent another €500 on the Series X console. But twice the graphics performance doesn’t matter. The image sharpness and details are even behind FM7 on the previous generation console.
I won’t trade physics with graphics even if you spent 600 euros
One thing has nothing to do with the other.
Because you know right?
To me, the absence of a real/same platform competitor and the inherent potential of Forza Motorsport keeps it alive. There will always be hope because hope is all there is. Despite all the shortcomings, I play this game every day, go through the frustrations and can’t help but think that with a few key tweaks it could be the best thing ever. Been thinking that since FM1. So maybe I’m good for the looney bin.
Even with the recent addition of Nords, I’m still keeping my time on Forza Motorsport to a bare minimum. I’m sure the game will reach an acceptable state sometime in the future, but at this pace it feels like the time it will take will be measured in years, not months. As it stands now, FM23 still feels to me like it’s way behind FM7 in terms of content, features, and polish. I just don’t want to play the game in its current state.
EDIT: I guess in short, my “hope” for the game is running pretty thin. I had a lot of hope for the game before launch, but the final product versus what it was hyped up to be were miles apart. It’s hard to confidently say that I’m hopeful for the future of the game after 4-6 years of waiting and being delivered what we got.
