SUPPORT: Cars Performing Outside PI [UPDATED 9/15 10:16 a.m.]

Hi all,

We are currently investigating issues involving two cars that are performing artificially beyond their PI capabilities – the 1965 Mini Cooper S and the 1975 FIAT X1/9. While we continue to investigate the root cause of these issues, we are temporarily removing these cars from multiplayer hoppers and relevant Leagues, as well as temporarily preventing them from posting leaderboard times. We are also investigating removing leaderboard times set with these affected cars until the cars have been corrected. Stay tuned for more information.

Thanks,
Brian

[UPDATE] – We have added the 1968 Abarth 595 esseesse to the list of cars under investigation. We have also temporarily removed it from MP/Leagues play and temporarily prevented it from posting leaderboard times.

You can add the 1968 Abarth 595 esseesse to the list, their are a few examples on catalunya school C class.
I don’t think they make one good corner but smash through 130mph on the short straight around the same performance as the glitched mini

Game hasn’t even been launched for everyone and there is already a list of cars. This has been an issue for each release…just too bad that we have a huge variety of cars and are already chopping that list down…

Ekberg can tell us if they are already working on the problem with the sound of the engines, please.

im not trying to take over but if anyone comes across said glitched or suspected glitch cars post here. it will help the developers identify these cars and remedy the situation.

please don’t ask questions pertaining to other bug queries. ie sound.

just be looking out for these cars via online and replay and report here.

i hope im not being out of line suggesting this. i just want a enjoyable and not infuriating experience for all.

Currently, the 1965 Mini Cooper, Fiat X1/9, and the 595 Abarth are not allowed in multiplayer because of this glitch. The real problem is the Drivetrain Swap because, you can take ANY CAR in the game and do a swap for RWD or AWD and gain extra speed just by swapping out from STOCK Differential to RACE Differential. This cuts your 0-100 anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds off the original 0-100. Example A: 1981 Ford Fiesta STOCK Hp: 84, Torque: 91, Weight: 2194 LBS. STOCK Differential: 0-60 is 9.144s, 0-100 is 43.101s. RACE Differential: 0-60 is 7.029s, 0-100 is 17.658s. There were no other UPGRADES made other than the Drivetrain Swap and the Race Differential to this car. Rather than ban 3 cars, remove Drivetrain Swapping from the game until a fix is available.

Hi Brian (Mechberg) everyne seems to be keeping quiet about this but needs to be mentioned. The Mini/Fiat X1/9 glitch can be exploited on almost every car in the game. I have tested this out on over 30 cars and is the same with all of them. my latest test was the Mazda RX3. as with every other car, you do a drive conversion then add a race diff and nothing else, the rx3 before a race diff has 0-60 9.418 after 7.304, 0-100 before diff 36.337 added diff 18.211 top speed without the race diff is 117.2mph with a diff 144.7 mph.

As I say above any car you can convert and add a race diff this happens to.
This will need to be sorted out NOW rather then later, as lobbies mean nothing, rivals mean nothing, career means nothing and league means nothing, as this can and is being exploited in every area of the game.

also want to add did several league and lobby races last night and people were bring Mini Coopers and X1/9s into the lobbies, I thought you announced this is not possible, so maybe a further exploit there. This is THE MOST SERIOUS PROBLEM with FM6. makes me not want to spend any time tuning or rivals or anything really till this is sorted.

Please explain how this managed to get through your Q/A as this is a game killing bug right now. and with Worldwide release on Friday, this is only going to get worse.

is this just on an awd conversion or any conversion?

from what i am gathering the glitch is not a certain car but a drivetrain conversion and a race diff cranked up to 100%.

i think this will be a tough one to sort if so.

edit. sorry, question answered by xd jj84 above.

this sounds like bad news. i am going to refrain from rivals till the end of the month and if they is no patch released or on the horizon i will be exploiting this glitch.

if you can’t beat them join them.

Yea, I guess you’re right. I know my tunes don’t exploit any glitch, but it’s pointless to hotlap since it’s apparent that all times need to be wiped for fairness sake.

I guess this is the worst case scenario I was hoping wasn’t possible.

we could hotlap the f1 or any race car you can’t convert. i usually start from the lowest class and work my way up but im going to go the other way this time.

i think its better to full wipe and patch the diff glitch sooner rather than later. i plan on spending around 2 years on this game till f7 arrives as i did f5.

lets get the ugliness out of the way and wipe a week or so’s hotlapping. so we can use all 450+ cars to their true potential.

t10 please don’t destroy what keeps true fans hooked for years.

I tried this with my 04 civic and there was no glitch. I don’t think it messes up every car. Even tried with drivetrain swaps. Everything looked ok.

It might only effect older cars.

I wish we would stay away from using “glitch” as our term here.

There has been an advantage exploited in each FM release…squish one down with a patch and another is found. Really is at the heart of car and tuning culture if you think about it…everyone trying to out think the other guy.

Kudos to those who explored the cars and found builds that took them to the top of the leaderboards. You see the cars at the top, you feel compelled to build one as well to see how it competes. I built a mini, a friend built one of the fiats…really fun cars to race regardless of your feelings about “glitch” or exploit.

We have faced this before, as our little darling cars are nerfed and removed from circulation…This is nothing new.

Just an FYI the guy second in the current B class league is using a mini…which is capable of lapping about 4 seconds a lap faster than most cars.

The block needs extended to all classes not just D.

Light weight Drive train + 100 hp

Quarantine the bugged cars and wipe the LBs right now. The C Class LBs are awash with lemmings hopping aboard the exploit train.

A Question about this issue would be: Is it possible to ban tune/builds that use both the Race Diff (set at 100%) and a drivetrain swap instead of banning cars? I was using a self tuned Abarth on Rio. The tune did have a Race Diff (set at 78/63) but I didn’t use a drivetrain swap. My time was in the top 15~20% range; definitely not a glitched time but the car was still banned. So why should some players who are not ‘cheating’ be penalized for players who are?

Or would another solution be for Turn10 to rebuild/rewrite the definition for the Race Diff so that it does not cause this problem when it is applied at 100% (the 100% point was suggested above)

Unfortunately, it sounds like we are all going to have to suffer through a leaderboard cleanup; myself, I don’t mind this if it cleans up the game. I just hope it gets done sooner than later so that we can all get back to building our leaderboard standings legitimately.

Its good to see that Turn10 is taking this issue seriously (as they should) and is working to correct it. Forza is pretty much the only game I play and so getting this issue fixed is important to me.

Thanx for another GREAT game Turn10 !!
