Ok, Whilst building an open source tune with the rally engine. I was 14 pi over the desired build. Oh, what have I done wrong? So I went through the build again and voila Street gearbox. Droped by 14 pi.
If you upgrage the gearbox normally you gain 4 pi per upgrade yet with the rally engine and street gearbox you lose 14 pi. To me this is a glitch. You are getting a slight increase in performance and losing 14 pi. I dont think this is intended by t10.
I think the developers should look at this issue and rectify it. As done in forza 4 with the dodge dart and the lotus 211 in s class.
A leaderboard wipe of all cars using this engine is called for and justified. I have used these cars myself(locked tunes) and ran good times only to say to myself later “that was too easy”. Now i know why. Yet more glitches, please sort this one out in the interest of fairness.
Thats along the same line as the 5.7L V8. When putting in a street trans you lose 8PI but gain over 1 whole point in speed and can still add more power.

I nearlly quit this game recently and many others have over the many bugs/glitches. If it carrys on as it is they won’t be anyone left to moderate/help. Sorry if this sounds harsh but im just asking questions

Until they catch up with whats going on and adjust the pi and wipe the times ala dodge dart, forza 4
If they do this then they also need to nerf the F50 in A class as its overpowered and PI should be way higher.
In A class lobbies I’ve seen them with 8.7 launch, 8.9 acceleration, 6.6 braking, 6.5 handling, 7.1 speed which is absolutely ridiculous for an a class car it really should be an S730+
I doubt they can selectively wipe the leaderboard for the rally engine / transmission combo as they are not searchable fields on the leaderboard.
With the Dart they just removed that car from the boards.

All joking aside, I think there are worse glitches in the game. For example, how do you justify building a Cougar with almost 1,000 HP and have it still be in C class? At least the Rally engine only produces about 370HP and loses its wind on long straights. There are a ton of cars with a heck of a lot more HP than that in C class.
Well after no response to my email as expected. I guess the glitch will remain and the playing field is now unlevel. The only good thing is now many more know of this and will exploit this. Reluctantly myself included. Hate the game not the player. Great time by the way, I am happy for you, your effort deserves it.
I don’t necessarily agree with you that the playing field is unlevel. Sure, the PI calculations on that build make little to no sense at all. However, its not like the car is a shoe in for the top spot on every leaderboard because of it. Conversely, does any car really have a chance against the Cougar on the Lemans tracks in C class? Granted, you have to be pretty darn good to drive that Cougar, but in the hands of the right driver, that car is virtually unbeatable. So far, our car has had one very highly skilled driver (Fat Burns) that was able to break the top ten with it. Only one, so I fail to see how that makes the playing field unlevel. There are still plenty of cars that are able to beat it, but since they don’t have a “glitch”, they aren’t frowned upon? I’m not trying to be antagonistic at all, but I’d be more inclined to agree with you if this car were able to climb higher in the rankings than it has. When doing that build, did you notice the big drop in PI for adding the rear wing? IIRC, adding that wing dropped the PI by 10 pts and that is not uncommon in the game at all. I have no idea why the PI system works the way it does. It certainly causes lots of head scratching at times, but its not unique to one car/combo.
The bottomline is that “glitch” is now fairly well known about by the community. I shared the open source for it and even got TN Eagle to do a video review of it. So everyone has access to it. I even have a request in to someone to do a youtube video of the build so its exposed to even more players (I’m too old school to even begin to know how to do that or I would do it myself). Its not like its some crazy build that has been kept super top secret and is atop every leaderboard. Anyone can have the tune/build and drive the car. Kind of makes the playing field seem rather level to me actually.

You know that you are unlikely to get a direct response to your email - but it will have been seen.
If they want to fix this it will not happen overnight and we are unlikely to hear anything until they have a fix setup, and like Eduardo says, wiping the leaderboards for that combo could be impossible (and from past experience, wiping all the leaderboards tends to upset people). Y

I find the customer service in the game industry to be a complete joke. I think because we play games were regarded as children and not given full rights and respect as paying customers.
The entire industry needs to be regulated and adhere to rules and regulations regarding quality control and customer service.
If i bought a tv from sony and turned the volume up for it only to go down. I would expect some action to fix this to be taken. And i imagine sony would be all willing to do this.
If i produced a product full of bugs i would be extremely ashamed and would pull out all the stops to correct the problem with most haste. Where is the pride?

I have to say i think T10 are pulling out all the stops to get problems in this game sorted, just look at previous titles to see what actions they take and generally these are taken rather quickly.
I think it is more to do with the number of slight problems they are facing with this title.
I understand a piece of software is complicated but these guys are experts and we pay £50 for that. I personally dont think enough action is being taken to correct these bugs. In the last six months the only updates we get regard car packs., with minimal fixes to the bugs. But your entitled to your opinion and seem happy, whilst a majority are not and recieve no customer service they require.
Lou. This topic is no way directed at you or your kia tune. Its regarding a glitch which i did discover whilst building your kia albeit. You done a good job and should be proud and shared which i respect. The problem i have is with this engine/gbox combo. Which is used by many cars in c class and not just the kia. Hell c class is all about this engine. Im a bit of a hypocrit as i have started using this glitch now but i felt i had to to keep up. Anyway i set a couple of times at RA for you to chase if your interested?
