Ok so we have stuck with the game through all the downs and further downs then thinking we might even be able to see the bottom but it was turned around slightly in this update.

Now I’m calling for an end to this debacle and if anyone else would like to add their frustrations feel free please do

So after battling it out after waiting another hour or so for the Nord to finally come back around in the only choice being the Forza GT Series in which you have some great drivers and some not so and then some that know how to exploit certain vehicles etc etc I entered the Forza GT Series for the second time today but this one was even worse than the first.

I joined with 10 minutes to spare and once again my ride and it’s settings were reverted to stock and the save file that I had done after the time before the time before came up saying that it could not be used… I only used it a few hours before but anyways, after doing all of that I go to qualify and you guessed it was 30 seconds short so ho hum whatever and go to the race way down the back.

Lights go Green and we are away, my tune gave me a little wheelspin then bogs right down and make up 4 maybe five places into the first turn, I hold as some other player tries to turn me round and in the process get an .80 penalty… no probs it’s a long race and things start to become clean (apart from that fool that totally wiped out the other clean player in front)

So we go down towards the hairpin on the Nurburgring GP right hander and I see that almost pointless arrow go from white to brown knowing that’s a rammer incoming and move outta the way, two others go flying off into the sandpit thanks to that bloke that probably can’t even tie his own shoelaces.

So we go clean up the hill and over the next couple of corners, get to that back straight with the small right hander and I overtake another professional player on the inside cleanly only to be greeted at the other side with a smash in the rear that launched me at least to the next corner, I managed to recover only losing 5 or so places but as soon as 1st place entered the second corner (myself the first) of the standard Green hell a Race End Countdown of whatever seconds it was hit the screen and everyone was booted Race OVER

Then to top it off it’s another crash to desktop.

Please, pretty please turn10, could you fix my product so I can play instead of ending out a raging ****

And the cherry on top is I cannot watch that replay to find out the username of the dog that thought it would be funny to ram me at 260

And another note, I’ve taken screen shots so don’t try and brush this under the rug by deleting it

Not to mention the penalties for clipping cars that have already crashed and are sideways across the circuit. Or the penalties for merely existing in a place that four other people think is theirs.

It’s so hit and miss with the penalties that it makes you say if I get some penalty for racing clean especially if it’s over 2 seconds it’s not really worth bothering to continue but then you think how might this affect this so called ratings system so you hang in there and by chance you make the podium the next day you log in and you’re actually worse off.

We really need Turn10 to explain Exactly how the system actually works out wrong from right. I’m all for getting a penalty here or there because I misjudged the braking zone or my tyres were going off but the way it is now I’d rather them just gone…

A system put in place for contact that is way beyond any racing standards and that’s it cause it’s pointless trying to keep a good rating and move up into the lobbies with the clean players the way it is.

I’m just about to log back in and if my rating has dropped for reasons above I’m not going to be a happy camper

So Turn10 would you please explain why your problem is impacting my ratings.

No I mean it, Explain to me why I should have to lose rankings for a 3 lap race on the Nord that lasted 2 minutes!

Explain it without giving me 50 tasks to do before you start talking @ Support @ whoever just don’t keep ignoring us on this so called Offical Forza Forum

And whilst I’m on this rant of reason I would like to bring up the fact about capping Multiplayer at 60 Frames Per Second to make for a more even playing field.

That TURN10 WAS A COMPLETE AND UTTER LIE!

You made that statement because you knew full well the game was in a very very sad state at launch… and not much has changed apart from some finding exploits within the game to win every time

I’m running @ 72 here and finishing second to players that are a full minute ahead on 3 laps of the Nord so something is a miss.

At least the last race was interesting and came in 3rd then the standard screens below

How dare you say anything against Turn10… They’ve done a magnificent job of this premium Simcade with bugs galore, same sounding cars, car models older than my nan, more bugs… Some more bugs, less tracks than the previous iterations, hopeless single player and a penalty system that punishes the victim more…:rofl::rofl::rofl:

It’s ‘BuILt frOm THe grOUnD uP’ you know. I wonder how much they paid to win racing game of the year… Or how many garden hoses they had to suck.

They may well take you at your own words, there is no road map and a feeling that getting back to FM7 levels of content won’t be enough. Don’t really know where they can go from here. I feel your frustration though, in Featured MP it’s been a disaster since Update 9.0.

That might not be so simple. If they use actual algorithmic programming to determine penalties than it’s a bit of a black box that you can’t really see inside. You can alter how it percieves certain inputs but its actual process is known only to it if programmed right.

That being said being able to see the rest of t10s programming i highly doubt theyre capable of programming a proper algorithmic system and its probably more of a mess of if/and and else statements.

Why wasting time with this game when you can play better (race) games?

They need to fix so much and add a real career mode but they don’t just listen (enough) and don’t communicate with the community.

FM in that state is a flop in terms of gameplay and long time motivation and I lose the hope that they will integrate a real career mode or any fun to play it.

FM looks good, sounds good and feels good - but it has no soul and no gameplay so it is no fun.

I don’t expect that this will change so I will wait for a release of GT 7 for PC till next year and if not I will buy a used PS5 just for GT 7.

I was waiting long enough for FM 2023 to get better. But they’re even unable to fix smaller things like AI.

But for game crashes you need to post your system specs, drivers etc. It doesn’t help anyone just to cry “my FM crashes to desktop”. For me it never crashed on my machine.

Because underneath all of the issues it has a good driving feel especially on a controller, plus I really enjoy The Nord in this installment

I agree with a lot of the other stuff you posted

It might have come across like that in the way I posted it here but if you head over to th TSHUB all the other info is there.

After I spent about a week at launch getting the game setup how I liked it I had no issues of crashes (apart from the progression bug at the start)

Only started the second the 8.1 hotfix dropped and there’s plenty of others with the same issue that have voted and we thought it would have been addressed in Update 9 but it wasn’t, it’s still not even been acknowledged as a “Known Issue” so until it is you will come across hearing about it, some just don’t even bother to log in here but read about it, if only they knew you don’t have to sign up to use this forum, just log in with your email and away you go.

Oh and forgot to mention in that race that ended after 2 minutes the player in front of me had another vehicle drop on top of them at the start and they were stuck together, I moved to the side just in time to avoid it, it’s not the first time I’ve seen it happen.

I just had(literally like 4/5 mins a go) the Race will end after 1 lap too. Was supposed to be 18 laps at Sebring in the GT series. WTH!! is that.

It sounds like it’s a widespread and common issue, maybe we will hear from the community manager on a fix incoming?

Or it’s going to be a thing for the next month… or beyond

It’s interesting because i only started crashing frequently after update 9.

It’s been pretty bad, definitely the crashiest game ive ever played on xbox. More crashes then my starfield playthrough with like 50 mods haha.

It’s funny as Update 8 worked fine for the 3 days it was around until the 8.1 hotfix on 16 May and then crashing can happen on demand

Wasn’t a single crash since 14 February, ran fine for 3 months, zip, zero, zilch, nada… then 8.1 and the developers along with their community managers here are completely silent on the matter. I was asked to undertake around 10 different and pointless tests by support to try and offload the problem as being on the user’s end and when I said yeah nah you ain’t listening, my Windows Time zone is actually set to sync with Mircosoft and told them just don’t bother, close the ticket… they did and along with closing the ticket they also closed the thread I had created here along with the 20 votes other user’s had logged!

TL;DR, Got a problem, forget about posting it here as some are overzealous and obviously double as mods with the ablity to remove threads.

All those are caused by blocking network requests on the main thread. If you patient and have 2 minutes you can try wait it out but dont touch or click anything.

Same scenario happens when the annoucer lady talks and you want to go onto the track (or change feaul/tire). Does not ‘hang’ like this, but it takes a good 2 minutes for the game to retry the ‘ignored’ network request while the lady was speaking.

The fact that network requests just happen all over the place and seemingly any thread is an amateur coding mistake.

Tried that 4 weeks ago and came back 15 minutes later and it was still frozen

It’s probably as you say a network request and one that is outside of the capabilities of anyone at Turn10 to address, it’s too complex for them so they just ignore it in the hopes that it goes away

Sure does feel amateur, maybe a disgruntled employee dropped it in on purpose?

This is such a buggy game.

I had 2x Acura LMP cars which had been gifted. Because I don’t trust T10 / MS, I upgraded one to be sure they were separate cars and not just a display bug, and sure enough they then showed different Performance Index scores.

I sold the car with the lower PI score and they both vanished from my garage.

This is unacceptable from a supposed triple A game.

I never bothered to collect the “free” one as it was a smack in the face offering it in the first place.

Best thing to do when you get it wrong is to apologise, not try and buy your way out of a mistake.
