I am also having this issue on PC (Steam). I even tried the Featured race for this week I had the same issue and my player level from 9 drop to 5 and the progression shows like i never played the game before.

This has happened to me 7 times and I keep having to redo races and Itās so insane. Why doesnāt this game save your progress once you finish the race? It shouldnāt be hard. Iām so annoyed. So much wasted time. Fix this yesterday!!!

Yea I opened a ticket too, would be helpful if everyone did that and explained what exact actions in particular caused this issue for them so the devs can fix it as fast as possible.

Had Issues all day yesterday, but today it seems worse, cant complete anything in the career mode with out getting stuck after the first race, restarted the game multiple times, tried a different race, always the same result. Guess ill stay off the game for a while as im getting frustrated and annoyed.

Have the same issue. Cannot upgrade, paint or tune. I canāt play this game early if its broken.
Same issue on PC/Steam, in career first series after applying upgrade or buying a new car in featured mode then Iām falling into a āLoading please waitā forever.
After force quit the game and restart, I lost my series progress each time!!!
Yeah itās a weird almost black light glow only when following that car for some reason

For those having this issue I think the best thing to do in the time being is work on levelling up your cars through free play races, career mode is a waste of time and energy at the moment.

How long does it takes for the Forza team to recozign this as an Known Issue and starting working on it? Itās pretty annoying when the career mode is completely waste of time to play with.

Iām seeing the same thing, havenāt taken note of all the menu screens itās happened on but itās hindered my career progress a couple of times. Iām on a Series X.
A friend, also on a Series X has seen it as well when upgrading the car.
Might just do what KILNIT_JZX mentions further down the thread, do everything other than Career mode, level up cars, earn cash etc until itās fixed

Mineās become worse, it now goes back to the first race of the Practical Performance series each reboot, lost all career progress. Iām now moving everything internal to my 10TB external storage before resetting the consoleā¦as the 2023 Bathurst race is about to start I wonāt get to test for 7+ hours but I will report back the results of this testā¦

Didnāt work, moved everything to external and reset the console and moved the game back to internal storage, still not saving.
Completely uninstalled the game, rebooted then re-installed, rebooted, same thing.

Canāt help but jump on the end of the queue with this issue. Iām stuck playing Practical Performance after paying $150 for the premium experience and early access. Iāve been a Forza nut since the original game and Iām a little shocked of the early quality of this one.
Iām sure it will get patched but it does kind of ruin the whole exclusive early access piece.

I canāt progress past the second event in the first stage of the career. I finish Lime Rock Full, I upgrade my car and I just sits there applying
upgrade and spinning for hours, forcing me to restart the game. And when I load it up again it says I havenāt completed Lime Rock Full. Even when I do 3 of the races afterwards and try to upgrade my car, the same thing happens. I quit the game and it goes back to Lime Rock saying I need to complete that race

Same on PC, After a restart i lost career progression, but retained car level so guess its just the race progress getting lost after completion of a race?

My issues are worsening. If I paint the car it freezes, if I tune the car it freezes and if I upgrade it freezes. I finished the first proper event and then went to select new paint for the Supra for the next event, and it froze. Restart and lost the whole progression. Why it doesnāt save locally is beyond me. Why pay for early access if itās this broken

Same here. Game gets stuck on applying performance upgrades to car. Results in losing the recent career build progress (although the increased car level is retained).
I have experienced this on a Series X.
When upgrading tyre compound of any vehicle in game. It lags out (most recently for 25 minutes) for a brand new game this is completely unnacceptable. Have done catalunya 4 times since the beginning of the 2nd series due to having to restart. Not pleased.
This issue is driving me up the wall now.
Happening every 2nd raceā¦

yep same thing as me happened bout 4 times and had to repeat the race prior to doing the upgrades
