Tomorrow, 24 October 2023, we are planning to roll out Forza Motorsport Update 1.1 on Xbox Series X|S, Windows and Steam.
This hotfix will help mitigate an issue where players could encounter an infinite loading screen when saving a Quick Upgrade in the Builders Cup Intro Series under variable network conditions.
Please visit aka.ms/FMHotfix1 for the release notes, as well as aka.ms/FMKnownIssues to stay up to date with other issues that we have identified and are currently investigating.
Will this also help fix crashes/infinitely long loading screens in multiplayer race sessions? I’m so tired of investing 20-30 minutes into practice/qualifying just for the game to crash on me…
I regret having to ask this, but is this the extent of what your team has accomplished in one week? I’m not criticizing; I’m genuinely interested to know.
I’m not sure if I should be surprised to see no mention of a hot fix or stability improvements around the MP issues. I say this because the longer this goes on for the worse it becomes for both players and Turn10. It’s already really bad…
Think the bigger problem now is finding good reports. It’s not an always issue like some people say. It happens at some points and this point is different for players. My builders cup (not completed) was fine it crashed only on the weekly thingy and was always at 3->4th event. And in this weekly at 2nd event
This is not really a problem. Some issues are so obvious that their QA team (if they have one) must have seen them every day for the last two years. They simply can’t be missed, and yet they still appear in the release.
Those are exactly my wishes to get fixed ASAP, with the top priority being the infinite loading screen issues in multiplayer.
The entire practice/qualifying session beforehand is wasted. When you have like 2-3 hours in an evening to play with a specific group of friends, having this happen 1/3 times per multiplayer sessions (sometimes even more) is really unacceptable.
It’s so bad that I don’t even think about the performance issues I’m having with the game anymore. I’ve simply accepted the fact that for the game to run smooth on my triple 1440p monitors I have to set everything to the lowest possible setting. I do that so that even if I get these unexplainable fps drops, it’ll still be at a fps rate I’m comfortable playing at.
Had some online games where my fps went from like 85 down to like 30 and that was a terrible experience mid race in first place.
