This game really is broken

Honestly, This is getting ridiculous.

I have been streaming for about 2 hours now, The most successive games I have had is 2.

And that was once, The rest of the time I get one race, then midway through the next, boom, CTD

What’s the time scale for fixes at present?

Feel your pain, if its not tracks failing to load, the game crashes outright. The game looks so good, I want to play!

I’ll hop on and get like 3 races in before it crashes, then I just switch games. Its pretty much my routine now…lol.

I am astounded at the number of people taking issue with this game.

Personally I have dropped more than 80 hours into it on XB1 and have not had a single crash or hitch. Some menus are laggy, particularly the garage however beyond that absolutely no issue.

I swear I must be the only person on the planet without a problem

Echoed. Same.

But that’s because we’re playing on Xbox One - how it’s meant to be played.

I can’t say I disagree with your statement and if this is the case then perhaps MS and T-10 should refund all PC user for a game that is clearly broken to the point of being unusable to many. How this game is still available for PC in this state via the Microsoft Store is beyond me. I am only knocking the reliability of it not the concept, feature etc because it is an insult to the customers.

Wrong. A lot of people are having issues on Xbox as well. https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst110027_How-many-times-per-day-is-FM7-freezing-and-crashing-back-to-the-dashboard-desktop.aspx

As to WHY some people have the problem and some don’t…only T10 knows.

…or they don’t.

Dude, this issue is taking up most of the first page on the support forum.

I’ll bite. Why is that?

Same reasons as the iPhone/Android debate. Optimization.

When writing an app/program for Xbox, you’re dealing with:
1 OS
1 CPU
1 GPU

It’s uniform. From Xbox to Xbox, the specs are the same - this allows for mitigation of bugs and crashes because devs know exactly what hardware they’re dealing with.

When writing an app/program for PC, you’re dealing with:
Multiple OS’s (all Windows in this case, but still)
Endless CPU/GPU combinations

Almost by definition, an application can’t be optimized when there is all sorts of hardware out there that can run it. Different bugs will arise from different setups, etc.

So by that logic, all games should only be developed for consoles since it’s technically "easier’? Got it.

Ooooo shots fired. Guess I’m lucky touches wood in that I’ve had one issue that forced me to quit, and that was trying to access the paint shop from the vinyl import screen, I believe. Playing on Xbox.

Eh, I’ve been playing on PC and have had almost zero issues since the first major patch and updating my video drivers. Now, I’m absolutely not saying that other peoples’ issues aren’t real and valid though.

PC here, too. Do you play multiplayer? I can play hours a day, and several days in a row, without a CTD, if I don’t do multiplayer. However, once I start doing multiplayer sessions, then it becomes unpredicable. Could crash every few minutes, or go for a couple hours.

I’ll be sure to let my friends suffering repeated crashes to the home screen on Xbox One know that they’re just imagining things. They’ll be relieved.

never crash here either

…come join us on the other half of the game you guys paid for…

I only paid for the single player game. PvP is like the pepper Papa John’s sticks in the pizza box - I didn’t ask for it, and it’s just stinking up the joint.

Loooooove that analogy!!! I’ve had one crash and it’s the same crash that I got in FM4, H1, H2, FM6 and H3. Its when I “go too fast” going through the design creator. Other than that no new issues. I have the FM6 Xbox 1
