I have a standard Xbox One and I have not had any technical problems with it either. Runs like a clock. I can understand the PC issues and trying to get something to run properly, especially, if using DirectX because the video driver needs to be done properly for DirectX to function correctly. Like I always say… when in doubt, swap the video driver out.
You folks who don’t get crashes, do you play multiplayer? That’s where my crashes happen. A-Class Hopper (my favourite), happens on the 4th or 5th race guaranteed. Mostly when it’s loading the podium’s clown suits, before I get paid.
& yes, I’m using a GoW4 Xbone S.
Yes. I’m spending more time in career mode now w/long races, but I’ve played online too. Zero crashes in either case. Some lagginess here and there but that’s about it.
Yeah I don’t multiplay. All the years I’ve spent in these forums I feel like all I see is multiplayer issues. Seems like one big pain in the butt after another.
I’m on the same console as you and also having CTD issues, majority in multiplayer just as you described. I did the whole uninstall-reinstall process and it seemed to get a little better but now it crashes every 1-2 hours not every 2-3 online races. I get longer stints between CTDs if the lobbys are small (12 or less players I’ve noticed).
In other Fortza news, starting next week a “rock solid” $500 might solve some of these laggy/choppy menus and maybe, just maybe the CTD issue.
At credit rewards screen after a race (you know, where they just added the new VIP function …)
While the track is loaded, if I am selecting a car and try to move through the selection menu too quickly. Easy to do considering how horribly it lags.
Crashes in these two places happen way too often.
I have had crashes at other times too, but nowhere near as frequently as these two.
I have been enjoying driving on my PC but I’m just about ready to switch back to my Xbox.
not everyone plays game for the challenge. life is hard enough, sometimes you just want to drive a car around a track for an hour and not think too hard about it.
Also, some people – like me – don’t want to have to deal with the bugs, griefers, crashers, and general headaches that seem to always be associated with MP. SP FTW.
+1 for this. I tried multi-player several times, and have rage quit before the end of the first race every time. FH3 isn’t so bad, as there’s the playground games to play, but racing is a crashfest. If I want to play dodgems, I’ll go to the fairground
In single player set the grid to random and it seems to give a balanced start position either 24 right or 22 left LOL. It does move around a bit with some pole inc. If you feel shortchanged then quit the race at first turn and restart. only takes 15-30 seconds and usually puts you in a far better position like 4th. Just wish there was a favorites button where you could add say 4 races with car, track set up that you liked most instead of going through everything again each race.
