So, that's how it is. T10 x Wreckers what a waste

This is all the result of a vote to kick that doesn’t work well.

T10 tried to help with the manual reporting system via replays and marshal system with mixed results.

Hopefully T10 learned their lesson because its obvious the current design choice doesn’t work.

It’s pretty obvious T10 hid ON PURPOSE the vote to kick feature. They don’t want to lose 70-90% of their main customers (casual players).

No casual players, no big money.

I thought everybody knew by now.

The wreckers and casual players being suspended/banned with the help of snowowl and the marshals are a drop in the ocean.

It had absolutely nothing to do with that.

It has to do with spam voting and vote to skip tracks abuse that occured in FM4. Innocent people would get voted out if crash teams were in lobby.

But you are right it is a hidden vote intentionally.

It’s a lot more than just one thing, the entire structure of the game is lousy:

Public hoppers, forcing those who want to and can play the game properly to share the track with those who can’t or don’t want to.
Collision physics that punish even minor contact with spectacular, race-ending crashes.
Too many cars on the track and too few laps.
A single-player/ career mode that actively encourages super-aggressive and crashy driving.
0 acknowledgement of the concept of racecraft anywhere in the entire product, and 0 incentive to race cleanly.

The fact that the anti-griefer “system” is a shameful, embarrassing joke is just the icing on the cake.

There just needs to be a way to determine fault and a penalty for causing an incident. For instance, if I run into the back of someone’s car in real life it’s my fault and I get a ticket. So in forza if someone comes up from behind and causes an accident, a drive through penalty would be useful. If someone brake checks or blocks another player, a drive through penalty would work.

A drive through penalty is a required drive through pit lane at the pit lane speed limit. Very effective in NASCAR at limiting aggression.

Or better yet if someone is more than 30 seconds behind the person in front of them, make their car be permanently ghosted until they catch up. Easy peasy simple solutions to intentional wreckers right there, especially the second one.

And maybe bring in black flags for taking shortcuts. Or a stewards inquiry.

There are some good ideas coming from the community, but answer this: Why would T10 implement it in a prior game when they can sell it at $60 US next year, AND give us even less to work with.
Coding is a difficult thing to do when given a deadline every year. No time to test out all the bugs that plague Day 1 DLC and powered by greedy intent to not fix it till the next full game 2 years down the line. It’s sickening to know that the once praised developers are cashing in on drugged up preorder culture.

Forza 6 is dead in this regard. I think we have to accept it. Nothing will be done at this point. Fingers crossed for Forza 7 because I love this series. It’s the most accessible racing “sim” for gamepad users.

zee always gives a sound analysis of the situation. T10 would do well to take this on board for the future

Since all the work goes to FH3, it’s up to the clean racers to hit the wreckers to dev/null.

Same thread different month.

Wreckers and foul play in online lobbies have been a problem for years.
Threads regularly show up venting frustration and offering ideas on how to make online racing cleaner.
Any changes that have been made have had a minimal effect at best.

It’s not going to change any time soon for this game. You can either accept this fact and find ways to avoid getting involved in incidents, or deem it unacceptable and go play something else.

I’m going to be waiting at least a few months before I buy forza 7… if the lobbies, including leagues are still this bad next title, I’m done with forza.

I thought for sure this ‘league’ stuff would solve a lot of these issues… but nope… somehow the elite leagues are still only slightly better than general public lobbies… still not sure how some of these schmucks make it passed anything below pro.

is it this bad in project cars?

Well as a “fix” us F4R racers find other good racers and invite them into a private lobby. When my “ban” was over we were racing against some good clean racers, wile at the back it was the usual. During one of the races on full Sebring me and 2 randoms went 3 wide through the Big Bend to brake zone into Hairpin; Wikipedia, No one crashed, everyone gave respect, and It may be on a replay wall some where. This race was in a hopper. After dealing with wreckers we took the best of the lobby with us into a private lobby. The worst we had was hard competition.
If a wrecker managed to get into the lobby we, as a whole, made sure they were not welcome. No idiotic voting system that was purposefully hidden from people who wanted to do the right thing first. No majority vote that rarely happens due to shotty lobby systems. For example 12 people in a lobby 6 of them just joined, can’t vote to kick, 5 of them know the 12th person is a wrecker. The system sees only 5/12, not majority. This is why most people don’t play the hoppers anymore. If there is no correct method to do something, humans find a way. In this case it’s to retaliate in a way to prevent others from involvement.
FM7 will more than likely be as bad if not worse than FM6 only because this kind of behavior will only roll over into the next “big thing” the spoiled brats of the world get their snot covered stubs for hands on. Dragnet, Snowowl, other mods that I can’t name off hand; respect is hard to come by. Little is given when one can hide behind an Internet persona.
Good luck, enjoy, and may your laps be clean and fast.

Hello all

I am pleased with my purchase the Motorsport 6, and even happier with the NASCAR expansion pack. I tried the features of campaign career (like it), multiplayer (mixed) few rooms with decent people. NASCAR I used the League feature and was fortunate enough to find a Ghosting Room for working on my ranking. Just having a great time, there are always alternatives the way I see it. Horizon 3 has the Online adventure/Custom Race/Collisions off Racing Only feature. I didn’t notice anything like that yet with Motorsport 6 Multiplayer, maybe just an oversight on my part. I am new to this

With any racing there’s always going to be the tagging, fender crunches. I even found myself not only in multiplayer bumping others trying to get into that corner, but also in campaign. There’s just no way. around it, some really take it personal I see  Maybe Forza should make a Demolition Derby Expansion pack (cheap in price) I know I’d get one

It’s our society nowadays, kids grew up with computers and play stations, and xboxes, and become bored rather quickly gaming. Many are to young yet to appreciate the simulator as it was intended to be used. Good idea one had to make Friends, and make many.

if turn10 target audience is casual players and wreckers there are doing a brilliant job catering to them…

I must be missing the definition of casual players. I consider myself a casual player. Casual means it easy to pick up and play the game as intended. So what is the intent of the game? The title implies “Motorsport”.

There is no way to pick this game up and just race. Not online at least. It’s a free for all. There is no Motorsport in this game. Forza 6 doesnt even have proper track limits. It’s basically a glorified Need for Speed at this point.

Wreckers and greifers are just that. Wreckers or greifers. Let’s stop elevating them to the status of casual players.

Turn 10 is at a crossroads in my eyes. If they want to continue to alienate us then fine. I won’t be purchasing Forza Theft Auto 7.

It’s not a case of wanting more control, it’s because the servers now run persistently. This has many advantages for players that just want to jump straight into an online game. No more endless waiting in a queue, no more joining a session only to find out it’s already ended and so on but the downside is that you are ultimately limited to whatever each server is hosting.

To be fair, if any of us were setting up an online network catering to potentially millions of players and hundreds of games concurrently then we’d all probably go the same route.

If you’re looking for a clean racing environment where people are encouraged to “take it seriously”, you might as well start saving up for a PlayStation 4. You’re not going to get it in a typical public lobby in any current or recent Forza title.

Seriously PJ, do you think the wreckers care about ratings and penalties? If their sole purpose is to create havoc for others, they will continue to find a way. I have no doubt they will find a way in GT also.

I believe the system in Iracing works because members have to pay to play, often a significant amount when all is said and done. The Iracing crowd is in general more serious about racing and as such misbehaving simply is not tolerated. Not that they don’t get their share of bad drivers I’m sure, but it’s far less likely to get a bunch of 10 or 12 year olds just looking to crash everyone.
