I have considered all the solutions provided on different platforms, and this is my final verdict :
Delete the saved data of forza horizon 5 (it would be around 2-3 gb) and create a new microsoft account (I used my phone). Then launch the game on your ps5 and use the new account to sign in. It worked out for me, and I believe this comment will be the most recent one, so I hope anyone who’s reading this will benefit from the latest update.
(The above method is for “Sign in required” issue. Do not mistake it with some other problem.)
This has just popped up tonight (having literally played the game a couple of ours ago) and I now have no option to try and sign in to whatever profile it wants me to sign in to (even though I haven’t signed out of anything…)
Renders the game that I’ve paid £85 essentially useless.

Yea mines doing the same checked all logins and updates but dosnt give you the options to sign in a different account just says sign in required

Genuinely at this point with how often the game randomly crashes for me and needs a full restart and the consistent server issues, I’m pretty tempted to file some sort of refund request on the PSN and see if I can get my £85 back.
Same here for me. I can login on my xbox account though, but getting the infinite need to sign in error message… any news?

For me its too late. Pre-Bought it in April 1st
its worth a shot - gonna try the online assistant tomorrow and see what joy I get out of it (I also pre-bought so outside of the 14 day window).
The motorfest is much better
