Every time i log in to FH5 i get the sign in needed error, sure deleting the XBL device key and other XBL entries under ‘Windows Credentials’ fixes it for the time being, but every time i turn on my PC and want to play FH5 I have to repeat the same process all over again. I’ve been playing the came for close to 3 years now and only since the past few weeks I’ve beeen encountering this issue… Any help/solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Please include a video of the issue if you can. This issue was recently marked as closed recently so including the link of the previous topic to help with this investigation further.
It happened yet again.. from what I’ve noticed it happens every time the seasonal playlist changes… I’m not sure what i should include in the video’s content.. a video of a successful sign-in this week and if the problem pops up next week, a video showing that? is there anything else you’d like me to include like a log file or something like that? just asking…. I’m on Steam..
it Happened yet again… although this issue was marked as solved here , I still have to perform the weekly ritual of deleting all entries under ‘Windows Credentials’ every time the playlist gets updated. I’m a Steam user with a different username for Steam and a different username for Xbox. And yes I Purchased FH5 on Steam in September2022. Nevertheless, I had never had this problem before and it’s only in the past couple of weeks I’ve been experiencing this issue.
I have been experiencing a persistent issue with Forza Horizon 5 on Steam (Windows 11) for almost two months now. Every time I try to play online or even load into my profile, I get one of the following errors:
“Sign-In Needed – You may not proceed without being signed in to a profile.”
I have already tried all possible solutions, including:
Verifying game files on Steam
Reinstalling the game, Xbox App, and Gaming Services
Clearing cache and local save data (AppData folders)
Resetting Xbox Identity Provider and Microsoft Store
Changing DNS, using VPN, syncing date/time, running as administrator
Ensuring Xbox services are running in the background
Despite all this, the problem persists. My internet connection is stable, other online games work perfectly, and the Xbox Live services status shows no outages. My Microsoft account is correctly linked to my Steam account.
This issue has made the game unplayable online for me, and it’s been very frustrating since I have been dealing with it for nearly two months.
Could you please escalate this issue or provide further guidance? I would greatly appreciate any support you can provide.
So, idk what happend but when i try to start the game, it says “start game” and when i click on it, a window from microsoft to sign in but its only there for like a second and i cant click on it or anything and then the game says that i cant sign in without a profile. i tried if its better with fh4 and there the window stays open so i can log in but idk why its not working on fh5. i tried signing out and in on xbox and microsoft AND steam and i tried to restart my pc and stuff but it still wont work.
Replying to keep the post alive since on semptember 13 i STILL have this problem and can’t play the game i paid 100 euros to have the coolest edition, i tried all the stuff i found online but after 3 hours trying i give up.
