The Trial thumbnail looks to be Aeródromo Sprint.

Wait. You’re doing the preview threads now?

This is what I thought…and here comes the interesting part…finding a renault or alpine for those fast straights. Not like we can use a ford or some other manufacturer with a ton of power. This one could result in an interesting build.

I’ve only tested a few so far but I’m liking the 4L Export.

My build on vintage race tires doesn’t have a high top speed but it does have very nice acceleration.

Might drop it down to street tires and add a bit more power.

I am digging these two. Can’t wait to pick them up.

If I remember right the real vw thing or the early models had a crank start lol. Watched a program about them as well that said they were called the safari, but couldn’t use that term because of the American Pontiac. It’s an interesting potential offroad car. I seen one of the elegance in Monterey many years ago working an event for the local PD. Never knew more about it than I couldn’t understand why it had a crank start in the back.

The 5 Turbo has always been one of my favorite dirt cars, but I never messed around with a road build until now.

Have to say it seems like a strong candidate for what I’ll use in the Trial. Doesn’t quite have the handling of some of the others but it gets up and goes.

I still have a build from the street race a while back that I used. It has great acceleration and handling. Better than the gordini lol, so many people love that gordini.

Yes, I think you’re absolutely right, at least it looks very similar to what we see in the preview.
Thanks :+1:

The one I seen was nothing like the ones I looked up on youtube. I live by a surfing community, so that is probably why. It’s not uncommon to still see a woodie wagon around here with two boards on top. Curious to get this and see if it is a cross country or a dirt car. I hope they at least stayed true to it’s roots, and didn’t make it a street car or something.

B Renault + Alpine (Aeródromo Sprint)

Alpine A110 '73 (TGM) - 2:27.431
5 Turbo (origalde4650) - 2:29.516
8 Gordini (AlfaBRO2385) - 2:30.434
Clio Williams (Saeenu) - 2:30.601
4L (LunarRaccoon197) - 2:31.235
Clio RS '10 (Major B Ver) - 2:31.268

Clio RS200 EDC (TenienteMM22) - 2:31.368
Clio RS16 Concept (LogikJ ‘Purist UPD’, FWD + Rallies) - 2:31.985
Alpine A110 '17 (TVR Driving, drags) - 2:32.152
Megane R.S '18 (KGrGunMan) - 2:32.161
Megane RS 250 (cezar013) - 2:33.320
Megane R26.R (SMR B0B 0) - 2:33.178

I’ll be sharing my tune on Thursday.

Bottom 3 probably better going to FWD instead even if you’re in auto like I did for the RS16.

Impressive time for Saeenu’s Williams as that’s just the tune from the Clio Trial on Bola a while ago, Cashless has also set a PB in that car so with a more appropriate build I’m sure that could join the old A110 and the 5 in the 2:20’s.

I was checking the event labs…but have been getting scattered results. Any one have a good list of the upgrade hero cars for tomorrows a800 seasonal? Thanks.

Some of these won’t make it into A class or need drag tires to drop them in.

Thank you. 2020 Supra it is then lol.

The 2020 Corvette drops into A class nicely with rally tires. I’ll probably go with it.

The nissan 97…hmm. Slowest shifting car for an automatic driver I have messed with in a while. Even with only 6 gears and pretty much the gears set as fast as they can be it is a turtle in a rabbit race.

This thing isn’t half bad. Kind of messing with the gearing to get a better follow through in the corners, but that back end though? Why does it have to be so robust. It’s got a badunkaclunk…gotta hold about 30 percent of its weight back there lol. Reminds me of the old chevy caprices with the heavy backsides.
