NEW FEATURES

Notable additions and changes with this update:

  • New resolution scaling options for NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution, NVIDIA DLAA and AMD FSR 2.2, as well as enhanced DirectX Raytracing pre-sets for PC players have been added. We have more details on these features and how they work below.
  • Cars are now sorted Alphabetically in the “Car Type” section when players are browsing their Garage in the “My Cars” interface.

DLSS, FSR AND DXR FOR PC

Boost your Forza Horizon 5 framerates on PC whilst maximising image quality by enabling NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution or AMD FSR 2.2. These resolution upscaling techniques can construct a 4K rendered image from a 1080p frame buffer, allowing higher performance at higher resolutions.NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution is available on all NVIDIA RTX graphics cards, while AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.2 can be used on all PC graphics cards including AMD, NVIDIA and Intel. We’ve also incorporated NVIDIA DLAA, which uses AI-powered technology to anti-alias a native resolution image at high quality.

RELEASE NOTES AND BUG FIXES

The content update for Series 14 is available starting 8am Pacific time November 8th. See Forza Support for a list of bug fixes and notes:

They seem to be highlighting the Mitsubishi Starion in this month’s Forza Monthly teaser image for some reason.
However, this car is already in the game and appears to have nothing to do with Donut Media either.
Why on earth would the Starion be chosen?

Could it be because it’s getting one of those Rocket Bunny kits?

Perhaps it will not.
They have never made a body kit for Starion, including one-offs.
If a new wide body kit were to be added to this car, it would most likely be the body kit that John Lazorack’s Conquest has, but again, this car is in no way affiliated with Donut Media/Rocket Bunny.

Could it be a Chrysler Conquest? :joy: (I think three different US auto makers sold it under the same name, just with different badges.)

Well its not to far out of place. Donut media has a show called wheelhouse where its basically cars that are rebadged… so i dont disagree with you

Tune in now:

I’m five minutes into this, and already I feel like this could have been an e-mail.

EDIT: So, the Horizon story is a glorified Tuning tutorial. Awesome. >_>

Also, it says nothing good about your choice of partnerships when your partner says that he’s no longer allowed to drive because he totaled the last car he drove.

EDIT 2: …OK, I want to see the list of people who asked for not one, but TWO Morris Travelers. PGG absolutely has to be having a laugh at everyone’s expense now. This is just…shockingly bad.

EDIT 3: Here, let me save everyone the pain of having to watch this nonsense. The four new cars are:

Lynk and Co. 03 Touring Car
Ford Station Wagon with wood paneling
Two Morris Travelers

That’s your new series. Enjoy.

Lynk & Co 03 TCR (?)
1965 Morris Mini-Traveller (from FH4)
1946 Ford Super Deluxe Station Wagon (from FH4)
1953 Morris Minor Series II Traveler (from FH4)

Whoa, that’s even more disappointing list of new cars than in the previous series… And no cool nostalgic events to make up for it this time…

I really hope we can expect car-heavy Series 15 update.

Two series in a row with all recycled cars, no big wishlist cars, and the game has been out for a year with no word of the second expansion.

what is pgg doing?

PG is the most ECO game maker, they give us only recycled trash content :smiling_face_with_tear:

Yeah, I can’t believe this. They didn’t even bother adding the Donut Media cars. This is the worst Forza update I’ve ever seen. :man_facepalming:

The body kits will be nice (depending on which are added) but it’s pretty clear they’ve abandoned this game and this is just a PR stunt to keep whatever player base is left engaged.

If they’re only adding mostly recycled cars at this point, other priorities are clearly taking over (like Fable I would guess). Yes, I’m aware of different teams possibly working on different games but clearly their staff resources are limited for Horizon 5 (if not, they’ve certainly fooled me).

This game is sooooo dead lol Worst Horizon game by far

I’m ok with recycled cars if they were good and stuff that’s been asked for. I’m questioning more and more if my next system will be an Xbox because I’ve enjoyed all forza titles since Motorsport 2. I’m considering going back to PlayStation for granturismo

Actually trash update. Three recycled cars, which are are all D100 and not the cars we want to be recycled. And I’m sorry, if you don’t think Chinese manufacturers paid to get into Horizon rather than Playground paying them due to high fan demand, you are sadly mistaken, and I am putting that VERY politely.

Playground really do be treating the monthly like a back garden bbq gathering and pretending the state of the game is not shambolic. This update is embarrassingly dire. The Donut update could have been cool, but kinda patronises everyone on tuning tips. They are losing their fans who were there from the very beginning.

Do they seriously think people want a morris traveler or 1946 ford wagon where there are so many other cars cut from FH4 or new ones to be added, I would love to see a poll “do you want the Morris Traveler added to FH5 over other cars” I can’t imagine this excites more than 1% of the player base and already looking at these comments and angered a lot more.

I think this is my tap-out moment. I’ve pushed through every one of the previous series holding out hope that this game’s about to turn a corner, but that is clearly not going to be the case. I just can’t with this stupid exercise in marketing anymore.

I am glad they are coming back.
However, 3/4 of the playlist prize being these cars is too lopsided and I wish they had been included from launch in the first place.
And what is most disgusting is that these cars have absolutely nothing to do with Donut Media.
I think Horizon Road Trip would have been a more appropriate thematic update for these cars.

I feel pretty ripped off with those cars. Not exciting.
