NEW CONTENT & FEATURES

HORIZON WONDERLAND & FESTIVAL PLAYLIST

Visit the Horizon Wonderland in Mulegé, a holiday-themed marketplace where you can access the Forzathon Shop and enjoy the festive makeover. Be sure to look out for a large gift box by the church, as that means you have a present to collect.

You’ll also find holiday decorations across Mexico including Christmas trees, lights and candy canes, as well as Snowman collectibles, which are now more plentiful compared to last year. We’ve even hidden some at Player Houses. Find them to complete the weekly Photo Challenges.

Don’t forget to visit the Ice Rink Stadium! The Horizon Stadium is fully transformed for the holidays with an icy playground to slide around with your friends and festive decorations.

SECRET SANTA

Secret Santa returns to Forza Horizon 5! We’ve tweaked and adjusted how it works based on your feedback from last year, so you’ll find it easier to unlock that snazzy top-tier car and who knows, if you give enough gifts then the holiday season may well start before you expect it!

Available until January 5, 2023, Secret Santa is a special Horizon Holidays event that challenges the entire community to cooperate and share the festive joy by sending gifts to each other. Gifts can be sent through the Forzathon Shop and using the Gift Drop feature. While only one car from the Forzathon Shop can be gifted per week, you can gift as many cars as desired through Gift Drops.

Every gift sent contributes to the progression bar which includes two unmissable rewards, so don’t miss out! Once the community reaches the points threshold, the reward will be immediately sent out and can be redeemed through the in-game Message Center.

FORZATHON SHOP SALES

  • Christmas Day Sale: Dec. 24 - Dec. 26
  • New Years’s Sale: Dec. 31 - Jan. 2

SERIES 16 INCLUDED IN THE UPDATE

The Horizon Holidays will seamlessly lead into the next series, #FORDzathon with no new update to download. This means that you will see unreleased content from the next series before it’s officially available to unlock in-game. This can happen from time to time when we combine update files to allow us to stay ahead of schedule with bringing you future series updates.

We’ll share more details about these cars, including the unlock criteria, in our #FORDzathon blog on January 5, 2023.

  • 2020 MG #20 MG6 XPower
  • 2021 MG MG6 XPower
  • 2010 Renault Clio R.S.
  • 2016 Renault Clio R.S. 16 Concept
  • 2010 Renault Megane RS 250

RELEASE NOTES AND FEATURE CHANGES

The content update is available to install as of 10am PT on December 6. Here are some of the most notable changes:

  • We have introduced support for Japanese and Traditional Chinese VO. You can switch to any of the available VO pre-sets under “Language Select” in the Settings menu.
  • An EventLab build point has been added to the Horizon Stadium.
  • Accolades tasking players to use Vinyls would previously not be unlocked as usage would not increment your progress. This has now been fixed.
  • The Tuning Setup and Livery applied to a car before the creation of a Super7 event will now be reflected in the published Challenge Card as intended.
  • Any tuning adjustments made to your selected car in Donut Media Chapter 2 now persists onto later chapters.
  • Previously the stat tracking for areas discovered would increase beyond the total number of findable areas in the game. This has been fixed.
  • We’ve fixed the issue which caused liveries to be misaligned when a widebody kit is applied to the 1992 Honda NSX-R.
  • Players can now paint the roof of the 2010 Forsberg Racing Toyota Gumout 2JZ Camry Stock Car.

See the bug fix list in the FH5 Troubleshooting section of the forums and at Forza Support.

But yet bugs from day one release still go unresolved and the leaderboards are still full of cheaters. Honestly what does it take to simply wipe the leaderboards and ban the accounts that cheated, they are all right there after all.

People get banned for stupid things but cheaters continue to cheat day after day.

God Bless

Cupra Urban Rebel is right up there with the viper AE and the Lynk & Co. #100 car in S1 handling. 1.6 Gs @ 60 mph. Isn’t bad in S2 either. About 234 mph TS so only good for circuit in S2.

Decent battery power upgrades as well. Can mix a rally tires build or slick build in S1. No 4 speed available sadly.

Well credit where credit is due, this month’s poll actually showed that they recognized when we were picking “gameplay content” in previous polls we were not talking about new stories.

Still worries me that a lot of my answers could be misinterpreted as support for the eliminator and not the massive need for custom championships I’m constantly banging on about, but it’s a step in the right direction.

This could be the start of something good. I understand that a pivot like this takes time, and solving issues like QA also take time (I suspect that the issue is a lack of lead time on new features and other pipeline issues), and that those compound on each other, but I hope you understand Max that this is a process that should have started an entire iteration ago, and at the very least 6 months ago for FH5. At this point, consumers have every right to be impatient and vitriolic. Yes, the company needs time, but this is a hole they dug themselves. We also have no proof that this will be the start of something good, and only the company’s recent history to judge by.

Even if you do only the right things from this point on, it’s going to take a long while for the relationship with consumers to be less hostile.

there was a question involving a written reply

bug fixed for bugs that still haven’t been fixed after all this time - I would bet a reasonable amount of money that more people are bothered by incomplete series bugs than the paint on that one car

Don’t even have that car so yes, you’re right as far as I’m concerned.

Say hello to your new speed zone monster in S2. If there’s ever a festival playlist speed zone stunt, cupra rebel will demolish it. Didn’t even have to hit the brakes on one of them….

This thing is nuts with full downforce. 1.73 g’s @ 60 mph. Still managed to tune to 232 mph TS with full downforce.

Edit: @T10ManteoMax one of the nicest things playground did was add the midnight battle races and the subsequent rivals tracks. This is probably my highest request next to event lab props working and adding cars, TBH.

MAJOR GAME FIXES

Numerous other fixes to appling liveries and decals to various cars.

Anyone know if these are active now or if we have to wait until the new series starts?

And Anyone know what “various cars” are affected?

If it’s active now, the spoiler on the Shelby GT500 isn’t part of the fix.

I think once installed the fixes “should” work.
Santa should come too.
I want to run over Xmas trees.
Could they throw me a menorah though?:face_with_spiral_eyes:

The list is in the article at Forza Support and pinned in the FH5 Troubleshooting subforum, linked above.

Thanks @T10ManteoMax I hope the Rimac and the GT500 eventually get added to the list. Pretty sure there are tickets in for both cars.
