I know that 100% of the people wont agree with me, but there is a real lack of cool and new cars. In the time of writing this, forzathon playlist has added 4 new porsche’s that were allready in forza horizon 4. Im not saying they are bad, but they bring zero excitement. Those extreme e cars are worse. I could imagine forza giving one (because it is a unique offroading car) and adding all the paintjobs to it, but no. They are the same cars copy pasted 10 times and only having different paintjobs. Those problems are also in the autoshow. As a Formula Drift fan i cant help but feel dissapointed at the game for giving us the Formula drift BMW M2. If you are FD fan like me then you would know that Forza adding the BMW M3 Eurofighter would be a better choice ( because of the more legendary status it has recieved ). Overall, Forza Horizon 5 is a good game, only the devs are lacking for keeping this game alive.

Which cars should get added is always going to be a contentious topic. Add on top of that licensing and production pipelines, and I bet PGG themselves aren’t satisfied with the order things come out in.
As a major Porsche fan, I’m torn on this month. The GW and Singer are two of my favorites too but… Porsche has undeniably gotten a lot of love since launch (though I’d point out a lot had been taken out for launch, particularly classic Porsches).
Still, some other brands like Lotus sure could use some love and have interesting new stuff too. There is also the Alfa/Lancia/Fiat situation, but we can surmise that the issue isn’t on PGG’s end considering both the Stratos and the Fulvia were featured in pre-launch material.
Edit: I agree %100 about the extreme e though. We only needed one. Our garage space is limited enough as it is.
“Pro tip”? Lol. The poster indicated English is not their native language, so not sure how that might be received or how that “badge” of providing “pro tips” is bestowed in the first place. It’s also possible the person had this conversation with fellow friends/players, coming to the “we” conclusion. Had they indicated it from the “I” perspective, I would also anticipate reactions from those making the usual “the games not just about you” comments
I wanted the Singer 911 as it was one of my FH4 favourites, but it should never had been removed from FH5 at launch for it then to get added as ‘new content’.
They had a few Mclarens in a row awhile back and now they have a few Porsches in a row. I don’t hugely object personally but for their own good, they’d have dodged some criticism if they mixed and matched a bit better.
I presume the 20 pointers are low key cars this series to tilt people towards the DLC where all the cool(er) cars are stashed.
In all fairness, quite a lot of the actually new cars in Horizon 5 so far were the most frequent requests based on ManteoMax’s last Horizon 4 car wishlist data sheet, so Playground and Turn 10 do add highly requested cars. It just takes so long to add them that the cars become dated by at least two years or more.
That, and everyone else’s tastes are different. I think it’s safe to say that I have the prestigious honor of having the most viewed individual car wishlist on the forums with over 2,000 views. However, my post has only been liked about seven times, which speaks volumes about the differences between my tastes and the tastes of others. That, or people are just lazy with the heart button.
Each and every person have their own list of “favorites”. The car list is composed of a number of iconic vehicles (those to which many would agree “need” to be in a car game). The rest are comprised of cars that tend to show up on “most fans” lists as wants or needs. When you have a specific car in mind, you have to think to yourself, would this car be on “most fans” lists? Is there something about it that make most car guys nod their head in agreement?
There are exceptions to the rule, like the Gremlin. But I would say to that, they needed to fill the “Cult Classic” category with something…We could have easily had a Pinto, Vega, Corvair, etc.
I try not to complain too much when it comes to cars, because many of my “wants/needs” are so out of left field, some may have never heard of them.
I’m OK with whatever comes along - most of them I’ll never even sit down in - but I mourn the loss of some of my favorite old classics from FH4: the MG TA, the Alfa 33C, the Maserati 300S, and …
And that’s kind of the big problem with this game. They’re wasting too much time on nonsense like an entire month of Extreme E while other cars languish and wait, and every time they get confronted and called out about that, the shields go up and we hear nothing from them…until the state of the game gets so bleak that they have to talk and deliver, or they lose their bonuses for the quarter.
And frankly…some of the cars that should be in the game shouldn’t be begged for. People shouldn’t have to effectively spam the forum with the same requests over and over again until fortune shines upon them, finally. PGG needs to demonstrate that they can read the room. This whole series is them saying that they can’t.
From my understanding, this thread is not about licensing issues as much as it’s about Playground and Turn 10 adding cars nobody asked for as well as Playground and Turn 10 clearly being stingy with the licensing budget when it should pretty much be more unlimited than any other developer since Forza has sold so well all these years and have had the backing of Microsoft.
