As an incredibly loyal Forza 4 player, I figured nothing would compliment my new Xbox One like a shiny new copy of Forza 5. I have had the game installed for about one hour now and I don’t plan on ever firing it up again. Where are the cars? Where are the classic tracks? I understand the idea behind “quality over quantity”, but what is the quality of a game that offers nothing in terms of exciting racing. Forza 4 was fun because there was a race type for anyone, and if you didn’t see one you liked, you made one! What is the point of putting ALMS/Le Mans cars in the game if there arent any others to race against? #007 Aston Martin is supposed to race against what? 3 GTLM cars? Where’s Panoz? Wow there’s the newest Audi E-Tron R18, but the only somewhat contemporary car it can race against is the Matmut Peugeot. Wow. You tout realism, but what is realistic about that?
So all in all, my biggest regret is purchasing a digital copy (seemed like a good idea at the time) that can obviously not be returned so I can have my money back. Until I see the variety of Forza 4, I will let this game gather dust in the darkest depths of my Xbox’s hard drive.
You’ll still find me patrolling the Le Mans lobbies for as long as the Forza 4 servers are up…

Sorry u didn’t like the game but everything u just said has been said a thousand times in here already. A year and a half of time to do research on forza 5 and somehow today u are surprised these things aren’t in this game. Research is key in life

Oh, no, I understand completely. It is entirely my fault that I didn’t check around first. I guess I just loved 4 so much that I though, “How could it be bad?”
Ya know?
Maybe I’m still in shock. It’s tough to say really.
I get what ur saying bro. I guess I’m lucky and started my career on forza with 5 so i dont fully understand what I don’t have. In the future when buying a year old game I would just google it and see what people are saying
There should have been a PSA on it if you ask me…
Play it for what it is and try to have fun…or not. All you can do now is to wait and pray that fm6 will have most of the goodies back in it. I think Turn10 caught the drift from the community…well I hope they did or sales will drop even further and we all know they don’t want that!?
Wow! It must have taken longer to write the critique than the time you spent playing. You sound like a real Le Mans fan so track wise you’re covered. That with Sebring, Silverstone, The Ring, Atlanta, America and not to forget Spa is a pretty good LMP / GT track list. Car wise you have a point but with a bit of race livery and your own tune you could easily have a very well matched and thoroughly entertaining grid of 16 cars even if the number of manufacturers isn’t as high as you’ld like.
Online that grid would be a demolition derby and in career it would be the most boring, unevenly matched grid because the computers are so slow, even on unbeatable.
Gotta gather some good friends and get in on the private lobby. Like the ptg guys
