Saves - Blocked words for license plates and shared file names

I genuinely want to know what rationale is behind banning the word swap. It is inoffensive, ubiquitous, inapplicable to trademark/copyright, and used extensively in the automotive world.

PG I find you offensive for finding swap offensive. If you’re to draw these lines and put up fences, let us know cause it’s getting expensive being on the other side of your court room wasting time on the defensive. It’s censorship and it’s downright blasphemous … I think I got off track there

I’ve had GT4 as a blocked word. GT3 is fine, but GT4 is not allowed.

I’ve had these words blocked:

  • “GTA”. I guess because the GTA franchise is for a mature audience only.
  • “Turbo”. Bee-Ess.
  • “10 Years”

My name is blocked, specifically:

  • PJ

It was usable in Forza Horizon 4 but changed some time in 2020 as Project CARS 3 (and now Forza Horizon 5) won’t let me use it on license plates or in descriptions of UGC.

#158 is blocked.

Tried to share a vinyl yesterday with description 68 Cuda Stripes, no luck, so I shared it without a description and off it went. I have previously shared that description before on the right hand side of the car, but for the left, no dice.

was unable to share tune #14 TITAN just now, took the future L and changed it to #15 TITAN which worked

I believe 14 actually refers to a slogan with an evil meaning.

Great! In making pre fabs for events, you can NOT use the word “fab” in the track description when publishing your track. It is among the “forbidden” words. Just how ridiculous is this obnoxious censorbot anyway?

Apparently your eventlab cannot be FABulous!

No, you can not use pre fabs like PGG does. But you can use pre-fabricated parts.

It’s just plan crazy that words used throughout the game are blocked when we try to use them, IN THE GAME!

I noticed a funny one in a recent seasonal championship. It was called Hyper Italia, but it wouldn’t let me use the word ‘hyper’ in my tune description, but I could use 'hype’

It would seem logical that someone should be able to through the censorbots word list and remove words common to those used within the game. Certain benign language just doesn’t make sense to be censored.

The word filter applies to Xbox’s library as a whole, and as such some words may be filtered due to concerns that wouldn’t occur to players only focused on Forza.

You have to admit that some just don’t make any sense though. If they are censored in xbox as a whole, why is it that xbox, as a whole, can use them in games?

I encountered the word taxi when i went to share one of my designs and called it taxi… CUZ OT WAS A TAXI. I have several TAXIS on forza horizon 4 the first one i male on 5 that word is banned… Really? Taxis is allowed. Now keep in mind Fake before that word is not ok but to ban a word that is literally the original uber/lift. Idk if it too is the issue mentioned as well but would like to point out im not and have not made anything bannable. Also sent in this to them directly as well.

Im not about to go through all my designs on both games to change my cars i took hours to create just to find which ones could possibly get me banned because of such cencorship as all have been descussed already… also get freaking Honda and toyota in the game.

Also, the name of a TV series.
