When you get the assigned rental you cannot tune it.
But if you happend to have the same car i garage, can you then tune it?

Check the restrictions, but usually no.

Sometimes restrictions are clear but mostly not. They don’t always tell about tuning for one, only assists mostly. Sometime it says only rentals, sometimes not.
I’m not fond of having to guess my way around, takes the fun out of it.
Forzathon you usually are more free to pick, but according to instructions in some cases when car model is specified, or just says a Merc or similar. But sometimes found I was not granted progress in Forzathon and discovered I made a wrong choice of circuit. So did event over gain and such.
I put a wishlist for next FM to have a wizard for Forzathon also as when Rivals in Messages. Would make that much easier.
You have to go back and forth between race setup and look at Forzathon and check you did the right choice.
I didn’t think of it until later, but that’s why they make you use the rental. That way you have to run stock build and tune.
