Rent Only in Rivals

So we can only rent cars to put times in the rivals leader boards?

Likely means you have no cars that fit the race requirements/homologation criteria.

Are you doing spec rivals? I’m pretty sure that how those work to ensure no tuning.

I have tried every combination to no success, rivals entirely only lets me use the homologous cars they offer

It makes us all equal

sure, unless you run a wheel… most stock tunes are absolute crap on a wheel. Controllers are so much more forgiving.

This is where a wheel and non wheel list would be good just add it in with the friends/region options as wheel and controller will never really be equal.

Stinks for people that like to upgrade and tune. This may be the last Forza I buy.

exactly only by rent

for example the dubai drift rivals that have only a power restriction dont leave to use the garage cars, only by rent …

It means the best times aren’t about the best tunes but the best drivers.

Cars are also tuned to suit driving styles. You’re basically nerfing the whole thing for people who can’t tune… Aside from that, there’s not reason to not have both.

I wouldn’t mind if there are events that are locked to stock tunes, and separate events for tuners -especially for drifting. Some cars have to have a little help to correct issues.

I concur, there should be at least a couple of rivals categories which permitted the use of our tunes.

Still don’t get it. Wanted to use my tuned Mazda Mx, which is within specs, but still not allowed to use it. So it’s rent cars only in Rivals?

No, it’s stock setups only.

This whole thing stock/homologation confuses me. Stock is general and within that homologation? If homologated with stock stuff, then still legal? Thanks for explanantion

@Turn 10 . Bring back classic rivals this isn’t working.

Actually, just found that tuning is allowed in some. You have to buy a car that fits the spec, I have plenty that fit the classes but not the spec. Just ran the Prague full and noticed that the leaders had a porsche 550 but I only has a Ferrari, Maserati, and a Mercades to choose from, but the 550 and can tune it (final drive and tires is about all that can be tuned on it but that’s better than nothing).

And just added diff, clutch and driveshaft, so no, it is not stock only (at least not every race is). But the cars do have to meet spec before the race (not just capable of meeting spec) or you end up with a rental.
