[RESOLVED] Forza 7 Will Not Load (PC)

It wont open it just stays on the startup screen then closes after a while, the annoying thing is that it was working a few days ago. Any ideas on what i can do to fix it?

Thanks

Hi there,

Can you please email forzafb@microsoft.com and include the following information?

Dxdiag file
Press the Windows key and type “dxdiag”
Click the Save All Information… button and save the text document to your desktop

THP Files
You can find these files by going to
C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.ApolloBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\Temp\Turn10Temp.scratch
The AppData file maybe hidden so in file explorer, you will need to enable hidden files by going to View, Options, View tab and clicking the radio button for Show hidden files, folders and drives.

Tasklist
Launch the game
Open a cmd prompt
Type ‘tasklist > “path to .txt file”
i.e: tasklist > C: asklist.txt

Crashreport.xml (Please reproduce the crash before trying to get this file)
You can find these files by going to
C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.ApolloBaseGame_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\Temp\Turn10Temp.scratch
The AppData file maybe hidden so in file explorer, you will need to enable hidden files by going to View, Options, View tab and clicking the radio button for Show hidden files, folders and drives.

If the crashreport is not there, please follow these steps:

  1. Launch the Windows Feedback Hub by pressing the Windows Key and typing ‘Feedback Hub’
  2. Click on the settings icon (Gear icon on the bottom left corner of the app)
  3. Check mark the box for “Save a local copy of diagnostics…”
  4. Click the “View diagnostics logs” link. A file explorer window will appear
  5. Go back to the Feedback Hub and click the New Feedback icon on the left pane (Looks like a chat icon)
  6. Select “Developer Platform” for Category
  7. Select App Development” for Subcategory
  8. You should now have an option to start a capture. Click it
  9. Launch the app.
  10. Click stop capture after it’s crashed to desktop.
  11. In the Diagnostics log folder you opened earlier, there should be a folder with log data
  12. Please zip that file and send it to us.

Thanks.

glad it worked , game on

So glad this worked out for you! Marking as resolved.

Thanks!

This is not ‘RESOLVED’ you need to fix the issue or at least flag it as a known problem and offer a temp solution. There seem to be a significant number of people having this issue and they’re getting bad advice. It appears to be a Windows Store related problem.

It happens to me continuously, almost every time I sit down to play I have to jump through these hoops.

See the above reply regarding installing any free application from the store and cancelling the download immediately, that seems to fix it.

How do I i deleted all car packs and the vip , then reinstalled everything ?

Thanks,

From Windows 10-Settings->Apps->Forza MotorSport 7->Advanced Options. Select one of the Addons and there should be an uninstall option.

To reinstall the addon, bring up the Windows Store->Games. Forza should show up as owned. Under the Forza addons, you should then be able to click on them and reinstall the one(s) you had removed in the step above.

You don’t need to uninstall anything.

Just start the download of a free program in Microsoft Store.

An example is Netflix or Spotify or something that is free to download that you don’t have installed.

As soon as it starts downloading, cancel the download and Forza 7 will load.

Why it is up to people like me to post this information on these threads when it is not a new solution is a sign of what the official support is really like around here.

Thanks for this info, I had been uninstalling/reinstalling addons to get it to start up, but tested your method and it works.

I have been having this happen almost every time I sit down to play now and its getting really annoying!

It’s a workaround. Not even a fix.

hi,
my game crash when I throw it, it shows me the prosche for 5 seconds and then nothing, the page closes, what to do? I have already reinstalled the game 2 times, please help me

My solution- uninstall vip and install it again. Game will run. I think You may uninstall another thing and install again. This is rally wird, because this problem exists very long time and it’s not resolved.

Turn 10!!!
Please, fix the launch of the game!!!

If you’re signing into Windows 10 with a local account, try signing in with your Microsoft account.

Select the Start button, then select Settings > Accounts > Your info.
Select Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.

Reboot your PC before trying again.

YES Finally i have found the problem,OK install game as usual, then run it if you receive the account glitch saying the game is not in your account then go to the Microsoft game site then go to the hoonigan section select to play the hoonigan DLC and the page will automatically finish downloading the hoonigan DLC after just go to the usual game icon in your windows start menu and that;s it happy gaming GHOST.

oh and by the way the full game is on amazon for £24.99 lol

try this - YouTube

This has started happening again, tried all the fixes stated above and nothing works, just closes straight away.

Same for me.

Tried all the fixes (I even posted one of the fixes!) and FM7 crashes after the Porsche splash screen.

Is there any regression testing or any quality work done by this mob?

No other modern title that I play has the same amount of game breaking issues as FM7.
