[ANSWERED] Forza Motorsport 7 Won't launch after windows 10 update 1709

I updated windows yesterday to version 1709 and now my game won’t launch. I get the black screen with the forza logo and then it just closes without any errors.

Any known fixes I could try? There’s absolutely no way I’m re downloading the game with my 6000/800 internet.

dont know if its the update but i just now wanted to play the game and it just crashes on launch after a few seconds , what a mess of a game !! i feel sick paying 100 euro for this half baked game .

Sign out of the Windows store and the Xbox app. Reset the Xbox app and try launching the game. It should open up and prompt you to sign in. Once you’ve signed in, it should work fine

Still not working keeps crashing at launch , all was working fine a few day ago

@Dog8MyGamertag WSRESET.EXE seems to have fixed it for me. I first tried resetting the store, the xbox app and then the game from the windows app settings. Thank you very much!

Hopefully this thread will help someone else with similar problems.

resetting Forza 7 deletes savegame ??

If you have any DLC(VIP or Hoonigan Car Pack), try to uninstall it and install again. It worked for me.

yes it does, but you’ll have a cloud save, which will re-sync when you sign in again

Ok resetting did not work but uninstalling all addons and reinstalling them did the trick , its working again pfew …

Just launch it from the start menu. It will work.

I updated yesterday to 1709. Tried to run Forza to see if anything improved and it did not launch from the Xbox app. I clicked on it and it immediately closed, or the play button would simply do nothing. I tried everything and it wouldn’t work. Then I tried launching it from the Win10 Start menu and it launched at first try. I thought that was it. Just trying to help.

OK seems I am having this problem as well, Tried all the methods in this thread and nothing has worked.

Any other Ideas?

i had this crash when i tried playing offline. i wonder if it’s something to do with that.

I’m having this issue but I don’t know how to uninstall specific DLCs on windows 10. I see no option on the xbox app or the store.

edit: someone else mentioned in another thread - Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Forza Motorsport 7 > Advanced Options, then uninstall the addons/dlc listed there.
