Open your start menu and click on the settings (small cog) icon. On the window that appears, select “Apps” and you will get a list of apps installed on your PC. Scroll down to the Forza 7 app and click on it. A link that says “advanced” should appear. Click on that, and it will show you the app, and all of the add-ons. From there you will be able to uninstall the DLC separately from the game.
To reset the Xbox and Windows Store apps, find them in the app list, click on advanced, and click the button that says “reset”
Reset EVERYTHING! I was resetting everything, my xbox app, my store, my game (you wont lose your downloaded 95 GB), uninstalled the dlc/addons. Then. Loged in to the store, to the xbox app, install back the dlc’s , and after that i run the game. Worked for me!
I was shocked, when this problem came up for the third time… firstly it was enough to logging out, after that the store resetting, now i had to reset everything, but it works now. Hope your game fixed too! Annoying Store problems… For example i need another 100 GB for the 5GB patch… pfff
Can anybody tell me why i cant download Forza 7 from the win10 store? Most of all… I mean why isnt my pc accepting the creators update or even the win10 update 1709? It doesnt matter which update i choose cause its “killing” my pc everytime. All my Drivers are up to date/newest… My pc specs are: i7 6800k @ 4.2 ghz - 16 gb ram - msi gtx 1080 gaming x - msi gaming pro Mainboard - ASUS Strix soundcard… Are there any methods? Like i said at this Moment i cant use it on my pc (only on the xbox thanks to playanywhere i was able to just try it out)… I am thankfull for any Infos. Kind Regards
How frustrating is this - purchased both Forza 7 Motorsport and Forza Horizon 3 on Black Friday.
Firstly, after lengthy downloads, neither would launch. Cue loads of form post reading on the problem, updating of Windows, installs and re-installs, re-juggling of data on C: drive to create more room, I finally got Forza 3 to run last night, by installing on C: drive…3 days later.
Re downloaded and installed Forza 7 to C: drive overnight, and its still not launching, I get a brief flash of a loading windows, then nothing.
I’ve tried all the suggestions re re-setting apps and Windows Store, uninstalling and reinstalling Hoonigan Pack, etc
Windows is fully up to date, as are all drivers for graphics card etc.
Try to uninstall all the DLC from settings - apps & features (but leave the base game of Forza7 installed and reset the game), then go at the Windows Store and reinstall all the DLC, this might fix it, worked for me once.
Another thing you can try is to give “C:\Program Files\WindowsApps” folder full control permission for “ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES” , in case a WindowsUpdate messed up some security permissions.
You might need to take ownership first of that folder as “Administrator”
Very Briefly Mentioned this the other day just to see if it was just myself struggling, but it seems a few of us are.
In short, F7 wont Launch, open start screen with Porsche image for a second and then it closes.
I played it on the 14/Dec/17 for the first time, went back to play it on the 15/Dec/17 After i noticed the game had updated and ever since then this error has occurred.

So question is has anyone found a fix yet?
I Don’t really want to go down the road of reinstalling the game as that’s not really resolving why the game has done this.
Any more tips or suggestions welcome, or a point to a thread that i may of missed.
Was ok for me couple days in a row, now its back again. I wonder what causes it, sometimes even does it when i just freshly started my pc. Although its an easy fix here, it kinda is annoying it keeps returning.
I just ran into this problem as well. In this case, this is insult on top of injury given how difficult it was to find a way to even get the game downloaded in the first place with my slow connection and the MS store failing to resume downloads if they’re interrupted at all.
For me, downloading the 100GB again isn’t really a viable option. I’ve tried fixing folder permissions, signing in and out of the xbox and store apps, resetting the xbox app, running wsreset.exe, and uninstalling/reinstalling the hoonigan car pack.
Had this issue for a while now and it seems installing anything from the windows store fixes the issue temporally, sometimes its fixed for a week and sometimes its fixed for a day.
I just install a small app like a pdf reader then uninstall it, its a lot quicker than reinstalling DLC.
Waiting for a permanent fix.
I just installed the fall windows 10 update, and had the same problem, only fix that worked was to restore the previous version of windows
this was the fix that the windows help center did after over an hour of trying other options,
I’m running into the same problem now. Both FH3 and FM7 will show the launch window for a few seconds, then it disappears… and then nothing. Resetting the Windows Store, Xbox App or the games itself did not help. I’ll try to download and reinstall the game tonight and report back.
This is incredibly frustrating.
edit: uninstalling and then reinstalling both games fixed the problem, for now at least. Saved progress was automatically restored.
edit 2: a day later the problem came back. Can’t be bothered anymore.
