Remove this headstart in drag races and introduce Class dependant drag races instead

How is that a bannable offense? Using a C-class car in drag racing is, as it stands, completely acceptable and intended behavior. The game even compensates for the supposed difference in performance for you.

As much as I want it gone, the fault is entirely on Playground Games for designing a faulty system that tries to compensate a power difference based on an overall performance index.

It’s not a bannable offense, but if someone is going out of their way to be a twit and screw others out of getting a unicorn, it should be.

“If someone is determined to screw with other players by sitting in the lobby and joining every showdown with a V12 AWD C-class, NO ONE in their Extreme Track Toys stand a chance.”

Eh, I don’t hold anything against people using their usual drag cars during Forzathon - it’s what the Car Meet is there for. It’s just unfortunate that the conditions of the challenge rely on none of said players being there.

I’m extremely glad and lucky I got this wrapped up in that brief, 20-minute window last night where everyone was just guessing at things.

I just knew this was going to be a cluster. The Mercurys, the Broncos and Syclones, and now this God-tier Caterham time…oh, and everyone abandoning all pretenses of actual racing in favor of the Burnout Takedown methodology.

Thanks for the car, but frankly, you can keep this challenge.

I just want to know what happened to showdown road races. They were my favorite feature from FH2. The showdown mile drag has always been stupid.

I like the bracket-racing idea, but once the god-king c-class car has been found the start times don’t adjust to accommodate. It defeats the purpose.

I haven’t had the opportunity to get to the Strip yet.

Reading this post has now made it so I NEVER GO.

ANYONE, ANYONE AT ALL AT TURN 10 OR PLAYGROUND UNDERSTAND WHAT DRAG RACING IS? CLEARLY NOT.

Dumbest Idea this series has ever seen.
I am sure there are more than a couple dozen of us with actual track experience here aside from me. I’d be happy to help out with some pointers…

I can’t even finish 3rd on that drag event with my extreme track car because of all these S2 and V12 C-class, this is crazy.
I don’t have the funds for a FXX just to win the forzathon event.

Crazy, they really need to fix this ^^’

The FXX K is a poor choice for the event anyway. None of the Forzathon sales cars are remotely competitive in a drag race.

Then which one should i buy ^^ ?

Try using a s1 class caterham tuned for drag

Thank you and the comment above as well.

To anybody reading this topic : Do not even try anything else than Caterham with SatNiteEduardo tune, this one worked like a charm as long as you don’t see any C or D class troublemaker =)
No, really, just use this, don’t try something else.

Out of around 15-20 tries/lobbies, believe me, more than half of them had these D & C class, so yes, you need a lot of patience.

Caterham R500, use SatNiteEduardo’s tune.

Just won the Falcon #17 using the Caterham R500 and SatNiteEduardo’s tune. May need to give it a few tries if there is a “C” Class Merc in the field, but the Caterham is definitely the Track Toy you want to use. Thanks to the forums for the advice and definitely a shout out to SatNiteEduardo for the the tune!

engine swaps need higher PI. like tyre changes do. since c class just go all in engin upgrades and tune the gears to compensate for the lack of racing slicks.
And yea something gotta be done to instantly put the 6.5L v12s in the low s2 class. and the v10 in s1 class.

i have no faith in forza devs anymore :[

I tried a lot of cars without success, still because of all these D & C class camping the lobbies to prevent others from getting their rewards !

Everything : Lotus Eleven & 340C, Ultima and others… Never passed 3rd place because of all these C & D class !!!

How am i supposed to win…

Keep switching lobby until you find one without those.

You simply aren’t going to win against those C-class monsters no matter how you choose or set up your Extreme Track Toy. If you keep banging your head on that wall then frankly you kind of deserve it.

Which in turn brings up another point… I really wish I could drop out of a race once I see the lineup instead of sitting through a minute of completely wasted time knowing exactly how things are going to play out.
It would be nice to see the cars in the lobby when you queue up for Showdown, so you could leave the showdown and find another lobby.

I’m just very frustrated at the moment. I don’t even know how much time I’ve wasted on this completely noncompetitive challenge at this point.

you can see all of them in the lobby before the showdown starts at the car meet , you just need to move across to the right
also RT will show which cars are entering the showdown…they go blue

Noting stopping the Mercury from hitting X on the last 2 seconds just to troll you though.
