Was a 10, slowly but surely it started going down to an 8. Now because of this eliminator CHEATERS garbage, it’s going down fast. Right now a 4 and potentially going to go lower to longer they don’t address this major issue of cross players CHRATING to win the eliminator, woorst game mode ever, worse than forza horizon 4’s, and that one was good and fun.Pretty bad for a post launch AAA game. Major bug, and it’s not being addressed quickly like it was in forza horizon 4.

I’d say, right now, it’s a solid 6 for me. I’ll qualify that by saying that I’m not really here for online content, beyond the odd co-op thing, or the liveries and tunes, so my experiences will differ heavily from those whose reason for being here is, for example, ranked online racing. It still isn’t as bad as the FM7 launch though. I’d have given that a negative 5.

Best rubber-banding?
It was made at a time when gaming was different and Xbox was different. More of a traditional gaming experience and none of this super-meme-y stuff and obsession with engagement.
Phil Spencer keeps going on about how what he does is good for gamers but, as a veteran in gaming, none of what he did makes me believe him.
Released the catastrophic Crackdown 3 (I beat it BTW), ruined Gears, humiliated Halo fans last year with that pathetic demo and keeps beating on them with the MTX antics on the F2P online mode, let Forza Motorsport degenerate into a buggy mess and, finally, turned Forza Horizon into a children’s game.

I totally agree with your comment about Horizon 1. The only thing i would do to improve it would be to add more off roading, as we have in later Horizon games.
EDIT:
As a result of the Dec 3 patch, many things I enjoy playing in the game have been fixed (esp Arcade), so I now rate this game a 5
EDIT 2:
As a result of the patch, much instability has been introduced in to Horizon 5 when playing on an XBox Series X. With this in mind, I now downgrade my rating to a 3. Lots of potential, but not worth the frustrations of the instabilities.
Horizon 1 actually felt like a celebration of cars and car culture, as opposed to a four-wheeled Fortnite.

because i got game breaking bug on v10 story
otherwise there is nothing for me to play at the moment, everything feels dull and boring, don’t care about accolades and such, but I’m pretty much done with it

7/10. Decent game. Don’t regret playing it. Like one of the above posters, I’m basically done with it, but I don’t expect to be playing any game eternally. I will occasionally give it a leisurely nibble. Maybe grab the exclusive reward car of the week. And I haven’t encountered any bugs that rise above minor annoyance.
Currently, I’d give the game a solid 6/10 if you race with other people a lot; 5/10 if you race Solo
Until a few days ago, I’d played the game Solo (aprt from MP Seasonal stuff) and was getting a tad bored with it…however, I started joining a streamer for a couple hours a day and it’s revived my interest as it’s definitely more fun with others. I still get a bit bored when playing on my own.
I think if/when they fix the major bugs, It will be a solid 7-8/10; if there was more civilisation around the map, I’d give it 7/10 now…I just want something to break up the big nothingness in the middle of the map.
It saddens me to rate it this low.
