This game is really pushing it with the lousy game design.
It’s had its issues but the last catastrophic blunder due entirely to sloppy game design was my save file getting corrupted and me losing twenty-some hours of gameplay and having to start over. Now I’ve tried the 24 Hours of Le Mans in full twenty-four hours, but it’s not realistic for a normal human with a job, wife, and two kids to just run the game for twenty-four straight hours, so I used the resume game feature. It worked fine several times but eventually I found myself on the title screen. The second run I got 8.5 hours in, came home from work looking to continue, and there was the title screen. Not being able to save in-game is just plain lousy game design. You can’t realistically expect a player to do it in one long sitting, so if we can’t save and resume in-game then don’t offer these events.
I’m so furious right now, it’s been a real chore being polite.
