I am looking forward to those games as well
Project cars seems to be a big hype, so I hope it wont be a disappointment
I enjoyed Horizon, so I hope the rumors and supposed leaks of FH2 are true
and the Crew seems to be fun game - I just hope that the map is really that big and that there will be tons of content
It looks all well and good… But I’ve got only three concerns right now.
1: Car list
2: Car list
3: Car list
A car game must have an appealing list of cars, and for me the definition of an appealing car list is not that of what appeals to a mass audience. I’m keeping my interest in this to a minimum until there is some news about vintage Muscle Cars. The game looks cool, and the features look interesting, but without cars to draw me in I just can’t enjoy a racing game.

So 65 cars so far, isn’t really all that much, but they really set themselves up for a lot of cars with the variety.
52 tracks which is a LOT especially since they appear to have near Forza level of graphical quality. That is awesome. I think I counted the cars and tracks right.
Almost the same number of cars as tracks is a definite no-buy point for me, as few of the cars I enjoy to drive in Forza 4 or 5 seem to be in Project Cars - yet. Sure, it’s nice to have lots of tracks, but if the cars don’t interest you enough, it’s pointless.
Where are all the American non-Fords and stock cars?
The first time I heard about this, I thought to myself “it must be a rumor”; Then my friend informed of a trailer for it, thinking that it’s probably a fan-made one, I went to see for myself. After seeing it, I was wrong, it looked amazing; I’m definitely looking forward to this one, though it won’t be until later this year!
Too true, the game is very pretty, but only if you have the hardware to have EVERYTHING on full. There is no way the X1 version will look that good, but it will still look good though. Handling wise I dont care for it too much at the moment, but its still a WIP so hoping it will improve. To me the cars feel a bit “floaty”, I will still probably pick up the full game for the X1 when it releases though, but only because of Cadwell park!!! Cadwell park is essentially my home track, since I am originally from Lincolnshire, and was only about 20 miles away from Louth where the track is located.
It could look like FM5. pCars is also doing a lot more then FM5 is on a technical level which is where the power crunch is going to come from.
dynamic day night cycles.
dynamic weather.
the water isnt just an effect. It pools on the track causing you to aquaplane etc. It directly effects physics. You feel the grip levels change between the surfaces.
you lock up the brakes, you flat spot the tyre. That then effects you constantly.
and then the big one. Global Illumination. Thats a big reason as to why it looks so damn good. Not this prebakery rubbish.
Honestly, I wouldnt be surprised if thats the compromise to get it to work amongst other items on the consoles.
They are nothing like Shift 2 thankfully, Currently i’d put them slightly ahead of Forza 5/GT6 but slightly behind Assetto Corsa, Still got about 6 month dev time left on it if it manages to hit release time.
