Better than Project Cars?

In my opinion, no. I’ll still order the ultimate edition on Friday though because I think it’s going to be an awesome game. Just not the “best” game.

Agreed so far… But I may change my mind once full game comes out.Ive been spoiled by how well project cars does the force feedback on my tx wheel.Just feels awesome.
I also love the time progression of the weather on project cars, the rain starts,it stops, the sun sets as time goes on in race etc.Im on the fence wether Im buying it or not.I prolly will just for change of pace …

Same here. I feel the rain looks better on Pcars as well. Not bashing FM6 by any means. I will drop $100 on it as I’m sure it’ll be amazing.

LOL

I LOVE PCARS there is no denying it but the issues with multiplayer/lack of options and FPS dips (on the Xbox One) really just KILL the game for me. I’ll stick to PCARS on my PC but comparing the 2 on Xbox One Forza takes the cake in my opinion. Though I think Turn 10 really needed to do something dynamic, at least nigh/day. Assetto Corsa is coming early next year (to Xbox) hopefully that pushes developers as competition only benefits us the consumers.

But Assetto Corsa has no weather at all.

As for Project Cars, while it looks better (on PC), the car list and lack of customization kill it in my opinion. If any game is going to compete with Forza, it’ll be Gran Turismo 7.

I do agree it would’ve been really nice to have dynamic time in Forza 6. Especially considering Horizon 1 could handle it on the Xbox 360.

But they have arguably WAY better physics. So Project CARS has dynamic weather and day/night cycles, Asetto Corsa has better physics and handling (a more pure sim experience). Where is that gonna leave Forza? Thats the point I’m trying to make.

Well, the answer to that is simple. Look at the amount of content Forza has compared to those games. Project Cars doesn’t even have Ferrari or Lamborghini, and they call themselves a racing game! I don’t know about you, but I’d rather have 450+fully customizable cars than dynamic weather/time. I didn’t buy the game to look at the scenery, this isn’t an exploration game.

If that response isn’t enough, then consider the people that don’t want a full-on Sim experience (which can be VERY frustrating); Forza is the perfect outlet for them.

I’m not that keen on apples either

Works fine for me…?

Project Cars is the better racer imo, better physics for sure. I was and still am a big Forza fan but since playing Project Cars the Forza games even FM4 which I loved and piled mnay hours into just feel a bit more arcadey since getting into Project Cars.

I’ll still get Forza more than likely as it has a great online experience whereas Project Cars really struggles in that department. Both are great games in their own respect.

I think F6 is better than PCARS, simply cause I lack the skill to progress anywhere at all in PCARS, im actually that rubbish I struggle to complete races even with the aids turned on, its brutal and I haven’t been able to get any where in it, even using a controller its impossible to keep the car under control and trying my utmost to be smooth and careful with inputs, instantly changes the game into a chore, I have dishes in the sink that need that time, not a game, where as the demo for 6 took me maybe 30 seconds to get used to it, and ive been having a laugh ever since, its like a good old friend already haha

I felt the same when I first bought Pcars. It is absolutely unplayable with a controller for me. I went out and bought a wheel within the first 30 mins of owning the game. I just couldn’t take it anymore.

Everyone has their own opinions. Mine was based on what I like. I don’t race online in any game. So that’s not a deal breaker. I’ve designed maybe 12 cars in FH2 and they were basic. So not having that in Pcars isn’t a deal breaker. I own about 370 cars in FH2 and drive about 6 of them on a regular basis. So having 450 cars in FM6 doesn’t really matter to me.

For me personally the detail in Pcars is better. While in cockpit view you can see your drivers feet move when you’re using the gas and brake. There is no delay when his arm moves to the shifter, even on rapid downshifts. You can turn the wipers and lights on yourself regardless of weather. The weather itself looks better when it’s raining and storming. I also like the fact your car actually loses sheet metal if you damage it enough. I’ve torn the front and rear clip off the Prototype car. Once those were off you could see the suspension working. I thought that was cool because you’d never notice it otherwise, yet they put it in the game.

In the FM6 demo I do like how puddles disturb your car and pull it to one side or the other. Pretty cool feature I think. I also like how the wheelspins now have other prizes to win besides cars.

IMO, you really can’t compare PCars and Forza. They are two totally different games. PCars is all about racing “race” cars and tuning a specific setup already applied to each of the cars. Forza on the other hand is like a collaboration of things you can do to cars and then go and race them. Being, painting, photographing, make movies, or building and tuning, it’s got something for everyone. You don’t necessarily have to like racing to like Forza. The heart of Forza are the cars and what to do with them.

This argument always makes me laugh. It’s like asking if one movie is better than the other. It’s all up to individual taste. But yet people still try to start arguments. I wonder if Forza lovers go to PCars forums and say that Forza 6 is a lot better than PCars.

Project Cars was a big letdown for me it was released as a bug ridden mess and still is to this day a bug ridden waste of money. The ffb with the TX wheel has never worked properly with that game from stuttering and jerking about to the fan going overtime. not forgetting the constant loss of ffb altogether. As for the physics Project Cars is closer to arcade racer Need For Speed with its unrealistically high grip from the tyres than a sim. Not forgetting Project Cars fantasy cars no true sim has fantasy cars in them. Forza has better physics ,better graphics, and better cars and with Assetto Corsa on the horizon Project Cars is just going to be forgotten.

I disagree with a lot on your post, but that right there is completely false. The FFB on PCARS does work great. Yes it cuts out sometimes going to dashboard. But they really nailed the FFB.

Take a look at the official Project Cars forum and you will see I’m correct.
