OK, i’m all in favour of Turn 10 making the prize spins a bit more profitable but there really does come a time when the whole generosity thing becomes just a little too pointless.
That’s the end product of all my saves spins from the weekend - and now i’m just trying to fathom out what i’m supposed to do with it all !
I know what you mean. I lost my original save at Christmas so had to re-buy all of the cars/upgrades and one month later I own 150ish cars with upgrades and am over 100m in credit again (After losing 200m+). I ask myself “what do I do with it?”- Could Turn10 turn it in to real world cash perhaps!
I do have a theory about this though. I think it’s to recognize that people have paid real cash for the product and so should have quicker access to the vehicles featured in it. This combined with a move away from a career based on grinding and more emphasis with getting people to go online
Combine this with the fact that some of the mod cards needed to complete achievements being a lot harder to come by than said cash when spinning - That would be to keep you playing the game for longer
I’d rather have a generous prize system than a stingy one. In my opinion it is a lot better to have spare money where I can mess around with credits on multiple copies of cars and various upgrades rather than grinding for a ridiculous time to earn maybe just one of the classics.
IMO the entire in-game economy is pointless. You spend maybe a day or two putting up with the minor inconvenience not being able to buy any car you like and then you never need to think about it again after that. May as well just let us pick any car right from the beginning.
An economy means people trade with each other, there is no economy in FM6, only player progression thru the game. If credits are your main motivation for playing, then it won’t take long to lose that because eventually credits become pointless. It’s bad game design. And I don’t see how T10 can balance the game so long-term players are still challenged without pushing away the average guy T10 needs to buy the game.
Yeah I also think the payouts are way to high. There is no point in having and economy when everyone have so much money.
Its another bad thing about the game. They went from high level spins not giving like any money after the first initial ones. To a system where they give so much that its completely pointless.
I kinda felt robbed i bought the VIP pacgkage just 1 day before they changed it because i wanted to get a few more credits when racing.
The old system gave way to litle. Then the next day after my purchase there was a patch where they went to the complte other direction, and now payputs are so high that the economy is pointless.
See, I’m the opposite. I don’t want to grind, and I don’t really want any sense of progression from the career, in fact I don’t even want the career mode at all. I just want a bunch of cars and the online features. T10’s problem seems to be that they need to cater to both types of player.
I like the generosity. I think the prize spins are great. Im a collector as much as racer in the game, I want them all! I have 466 cars and counting so far.
I just blow all my credits on mod packs. My goal is to get the affinity boost cards. Getting brands to max affinity is totally pointles aside from the badges to use as your in game avatar. I just want the option to use whatever brand’s badge. I have a pointless number of green boost cards at this point. Like 900 of them with around 100 career races left at most. I’ll never use them all but the bigger boosts I can obtain and use the faster I will max affinity for more brands.
With this thread I can obviously see you can’t make everyone happy. People would complain about not getting high enough prizes on the spins now it’s “Oh I have so and so number of prize spins waiting and 50 million credits”. Before it was the prize spins weren’t high enough now it’s “what should I do with it all?”, “It’s too much”. Why can’t everyone just be content with the fact you can enjoy the damn game freely and not have to worry or stress about getting a specific vehicle they want? You can’t complain about not having enough and then having more than enough, geez. Be grateful you don’t HAVE to do an endurance race for hours to obtain something and you could simply use those credits and be happy. To conclude this rant, no Prize Spins are not “oh so pointless”.
Wait… with regard to the OP’s video… How’d you get so many Special Spins with 10 million in the center? I thought that was just when you reached some benchmark level, like 100. All my spins have 1 million in the center otherwise and I’m VIP.
I’m sorry, but when the heck do prize spins become so lucrative? The most money I’ve ever had a chance to win from a single spin is $1,000,000. And I agree with sdwaltz30: is there some trick that the OP’s using to get the most valuable prize for numerous straight spins? I’m level 61, btw.
Not posting on this thread again but to all who are wondering why OP is getting like 10,000,000 each spin is because the person is over lvl 1,000. Dunno how must have a helluva lot of time on their hands
