Premium Add-Ons Bundle not providing benefits on family/shared account

Hi Forza team,

it appears the Premium Add-Ons Bundle is not working correctly on shared (Gold/Gamepass Ultimate) family accounts (same on ours and a friends), specifically:

  • The Forza Motorsport Race Day Car Pack cars do not unlock and are not available.
  • The Forza Motorsport Welcome Pack cars do not unlock and are not available.
  • The VIP in game coins bonus pay outs are not working at the end of races.

What is working on the 2nd/family account:

  • Early access
  • FORZA Motorsport Car Pass - daily car has unlocked today #22 Golf
  • VIP race suits are in the inventory and working

All content is shown correctly in the ‘Manage game and add-ons’ page (eg all 4 packs plus the message does not need to be installed). In the FM in game store all 4 packs are shown as owned and if clicked give the ‘you already own this content’ message.

On the main/primary account:

All content is working correctly, all cars etc available, VIP bonus is paid correctly.

As I’m sure you’ll understand most family accounts are for children so we’d be grateful if you let us know how to resolve this.

Thanks Forza team, we’re having loads of fun so far and I’m sure this is just a minor launch issue that will be resolved quickly.

Edit 6 Oct to include platform(s): Original problem noticed on Xbox Series X, both profiles also used on PC and the same problem persists. Console/PC restarts etc do not solve the issue.

I am also experiencing the same issue. A little frustrating to see we own everything and it is all installed properly but we are not able to access any it.

Also, along with * The VIP in game coins bonus pay outs are not working at the end of races, the initial 500k is also not deposited in the games sharing account.

I have tried to exit the game, hard reset console, and also Uninstall and reinstall game and nothing has changed.

Im on Xbox X

Hello @T10MantoMax I have precommanded the Premium edition of Forza Motorsport. And I played several hours and I still don’t have the cars of the race day car pack. The weirdest thing is that I can participate to VIP rivals and I can wear VIP drivers combinasons but I don’t have any FE cars, I don’t have my 500000Cr neither. I don’t have the first car of the car pass neither. Please can you do something for me ?

When I started I only played Multiplayer. The rewards didn’t pop until I played through the Builders Cup intro, so that’s something to try if you haven’t already. Also quit the game, restart your device, and play a Builders Cup race.

Since this relates to your account, you should submit a ticket at Forza Support. Include your platform and any related gamertags on it to be sure everything is logged in correctly.

I ended up here in the forum for a similar reason. My husband bought the upgrade in the store. He has all the cars, the VIP flair from the start of the game, the money and everything else that comes with it. Just now he received the Car Pass car.

I can play the game with early access. I have the crown in the game. I can buy the DLC cars in the game. But I don’t get the car from today or the other DLC cars. Neither on Series X nor on PC. When I go to the shop in the game, everything says I already own it. I can’t buy it.

I have been getting the VIP bonus for races since today. Not yesterday. The craziest thing is that when I started the game this morning, there was no VIP displayed. After the first race I got the VIP bonus and since then it’s always there.

Of course it’s great that I can at least buy the DLC cars with credits in the game. That wasn’t possible yesterday either. But they have no flair in the shop. So before every car purchase I now look at the DLC list because selling them is only possible at a loss and hopefully I will still get my DLC content as planned at some point. I prefer to invest my earned credits in cars that I shouldn’t get for free because I paid for them.

By the way, my children also have this problem. They only play on the Series X. No cars in the garage from the DLCs.

There is also no indication of the error under Known Issues on the support page so far.

I have done the weekly championship, the introduction and the first Builders Cup championship. I’m in the next one now. Still nothing.

I have restarted the game several times. On multiple platforms and devices. Also nothing.

Also experiencing this exact same situation. I bought the premium upgrade through gamepass. My partner can play the game, She has the VIP flair and access to the VIP race suits. She does not have the starting credit bonus, the bonus cars. She is getting the VIP bonus prize money inconsistently. We thought maybe clearing save data and having her start completely new might be a fix, but when going into the series X console data for the game there is only the reserved space, and no individual save data for her profile.

Unfortunately, the Car Pass Auto does not work here either.

The racing suits only with a delay. Yesterday they were blocked. I then had them on the console. In the meantime also on the PC. Whereby I had worn a different suit again several times.

@Zombie: My husband thought maybe a refund would help. We always bought the Premium Edition. Not this time because the Starfield collector’s edition is expensive and Spider-Man and Mario are coming this month. But someone here in the thread also has the problem with the Premium Edition. In an external forum I saw another person who reported this. So I hope for a solution. I think more money doesn’t guarantee anything here.

Family should also ultimately be a temporary problem at best. We have often bought games twice, like GTA or RDR2. With Microsoft Store games, however, everything has worked with one purchase so far. That was also the case with Starfield. We also bought the upgrade for Starfield because the Constellation Edition was sent out late.

I purchased the premium content on my account, and everything is installed on the console and showing in my game, but my dad doesnt have any 500k credits or the VIP and welcome pack cars for free in his game on his account, and car pass car is showing as available to buy, but also isnt free as it should be

Same thing is happening to me. Please fix this soon. It sucks not having all the cars.

Same problem. The only difference is that I have VIP bonus but no vehicle

Same here.

The main account gets all reward and VIP cars.

Any secondary account (XBOX Series X) only gets VIP racesuit. No VIP cars. No car pack cars.

Remember to upvote bug topics in addition to replying so the team can track the number of users affected.
