[Polls] What features from the competitor (GT7) would you like to see in a next Forza Motorsport?

I just want to know what of these features would you like in a maybe new Forza Motorsport from the competitor if the series after this Forza Motorsport 8 (23) is not dead?

Maybe some features from GT7 are protected but there are ways to do the same but in another way or modified.

A livelier main menu
  • A small map or similar like in GT7.
  • A simple menu with motion 3D Background.
  • I have no opinion about it.

There is no need for a GT7 clone. FM may be different. All it needs is quality.

I’d settle for mild competence at this stage

I hope this studio never gets a contract for a game again. Much like 343i. They dont deserve to work on games. What they’ve created with virtually infinite time, money, and manpower, is an insult and an affront to their core audience, as well as the craft of game development itself. No studio deserves to be stood by like these studios are. With everything I hate about EA. I think Microsoft does need to take a page out of their book. Bring out the scythe , Start killing dead weight studios like T10 and 343I. EA has killed dozens of studios with more potential and passion for development than both of these studios combined.

One thing I would like…the attention to detail in the car models. FM is clearly lacking behind there.

Weather Radar

I just want someone who plays racing games to be in charge if they make another game. Pretty much every racing game takes ideas or inspiration from others besides forza. Recently iracing released weather, it is obvious they saw what gt7 had done, which is great btw and they added a little something of their own which is off line grip in the wet.

Why in this built from the ground up game do we have a weather system that nevermind not being up to par with competitors, in many ways is worse than past forza games.

These are the types of things that i and probably many others expected when this game took 6 years to make. Its a shame that threads like this need to exist. Its also a shame that since these individual things arent posted in the suggestions hub turn 10 will never know it exists.

Going down the list:

  • For menus I have no preference. On any and all simcades that I’ve played the menu style. What matters to me is that it is properly programmed and doesn’t drop frame rate like FMs menu did in the earlier days.

  • I valery rarely use the livery editor but when I do I find the mapping is horrible on most cars and things set at 0.0 on front, rear, and top are almost never actually at the centreline of the vehicle which makes it difficult to make liveries look right all the time.

  • I would like more options for car settings but adjustments while driving arent a priority to me. I can barely keep track of gas, brake, steering and gears. I feel like if I add tcs, brakes, fuel and diff I wouldn’t be able to keep track of it all.

  • The tuning menu definitely has too many tabs. There’s three tabs now just for suspension tuning.

  • I’ve never been big on missions personally but I think more ways to play would drastically increase the replayability of the game so I could go either way on this one.

  • I do think licenses would be a good idea as its a great way to improve one’s skills but I hated having to do them in GT so if they were optional but not forced I think that would be optimal.

  • Car washes and oil changes seem unnecessary. It always just seemed like extra work when I would play GT games. And then when I would forget to change the oil before starting a new series it was so annoying to exit out and do it to get it back up to peak performance.

  • I did love having odometers in cars and seeing what I’ve managed to put the most mileage on.

  • I think the way they have tyre compounds set up now is pretty well done but I would like the ability to put different tyre compounds front and rear.

  • Liveries on windows isn’t a big priority for me but I also spend very little time in the livery editor.

  • Photo scapes would be a nice addition to the game. Even if they just add a few environments it would be strides better than trying to take photos in the awkward and horrible lighting that the showroom carbay that the photomode has.

I would much prefer that T10 put back features from previous games before they start copying GT7.

But one thing I do want is the ability to customize drivers suits.

Getting in before the max lock. I would just like to be able to get a PS5. And see GT8 pick up some open world features from Horizon.

If they’re going to make this a racing SIM we absolutely need to be able to adjust ABS TCS and brake bias while driving. It’s very easy to implement with the d-pad on a controller. GT7 does it perfectly and it really adds to the game. Having one setting that you set during an entire race especially with changing weather is ridiculous.

Also these are race cars, they shouldn’t have TCS called “sport”. They should have TCS 1-5 or more. They should also have more than just ABS on or off. I realize some of the cars in the game are street cars. But we are treating them like race cars and they should have options equal to that design.

Actually iRacing didn’t copy anything from GT7. My best friend is the track surface designer for iRacing. He does all the design and coding for: tarmac grip, water, dirt on track, rubber accumulation both online and offline, temperature changes from cloud cover or direct sun hitting it. There are more than 10 other variables they constantly calculate on the track. Their system is so significantly more diverse it’s not even comparable.

Just give me accurate car models, a better Livery Editor, a better Upgrade system and things to do in Singleplayer. I’m just asking for an actual built from the ground up game.

Judging by the poll results people want GT7 for Xbox :joy:

But in all seriousness, they do sound like fun features. I would also add customizable aero front and rear.

“Next Forza Motorsport”? The heck…!?

Didn’t they just release this game and said it was a game-as-a-service?

  • Proximity Radar
  • Server Browser
  • Dedicated Servers (for renting?)
  • Viewer Mode for Multiplayer

These are my main whishes.
The stuff mentioned in the poll would be the icing on the cake IMHO.

I think it would be possible to add these extra features on the fly with any xbox controller if there was a selection in the menu to be able to hold down a certain button like R1 then another button to allow access to a selectable screen like what’s on offer with the stats screen that has multiple presses to see what’s going on, only this time if you have the skill or a long enough straight you can change certain car settings like ABS Strength ot TC or Brake bias

As well in longer races be able to select what you are going to want applied when entering the pits, fuel amounts, tyre selection, and maybe even suspension adjustments

Live service is irrevelent because Forza is that since FH3. But yeah they just released a Motorsport game, so we won’t see one aby time in the next two years

According to T10 we’re not going to see one ever again. Their idea is to make FM a platform to continuously update and add on.
