Best way to extend Forza Motorsport 7....

Well now that we’re definitely not getting a Forza Motorsport 8 in 2019, and actually I applaud them for this, I was wondering what everybody’s ideas are for the best way to help Forza Motorsport 7 grow and mature. For me it’s quite simple, I think having a new Career Plus like a lot of games have a new Game Plus mode. In this way, you would get to keep your cars but reset the career and go back through it. What other ideas do you guys have that you think would be beneficial to the racing community besides the, “I want more cars and tracks” that we all desire.

For me, regardless of anything else, the lack of new tracks is an extreme downer. Do not need more cares - but without new tracks, it just becomes a mind-numbing grind over the same real estate again and again. Like the 169 championship in FH2 (and I loved that version of the game) - I did it and hated almost all of the time spent to collect the cheevo (this track again?).

To be honest it is not out of the realms of possibility that they could release a fresh track.
They will definitely have unreleased tracks that didn’t make the cut at release either because of work needed or further licensing negotiation needed.

New tracks definitely is a plus for me and whatever else the team decides on. But for it’s all about NEW TRACKS and the realism of racing, which they’ve done an excellent job on thus far. But there is major potential for this game in the direction of real racing and I’m hoping this comes into focus soon! A good approach the team took in this direction in cockpit view are the vibrating car safety nets, gear shifters and windshield wipers. And this is cool! Any and all vibrations inside the car are due to engine/transmission and feed back from the wheels via the car’s suspension. But do drivers feel these road surface subtleties and rotational forces via the controller especially? I think not! Track surfaces need to be revised so that car tires and other wind and rotational forces can be subtly communicated to the controller for more of a racing feel. I also think they need to re-imagine the controller as well and try and figure out to way for drivers to feel G-Forces in the palms if possible.

I love the Forza series… but what would make it much more immersive / real for me would be vocal content from the pit teams …….along with ……good turn……… perfect turn ….etc… being vocalised…

This in my opinion would bring the game alive …………………

Of course there could be an option for this vocal aspect to be turned off………. for those who prefer the silent treatment………

But there is no pit strategy in this game really for pit calls over the radio…

As for the perfect turn stuff being vocalized, basically you want this?

Would definitely love new tracks over new cars right now

I agree… New Tracks, Daily Challenges, Weekly Challenges… and New Tracks! Another good suggestion would be New Tracks! If there is any doubt New Tracks would certinly bring life back to the game.

Another game brings life to the game daily and weekly!

Daily and weekly Challenges: Not just silly lap monsters… rivals where you do lap after lap for the perefect lap. But a Real Challenge. some examples could be:

  1. Like 3 laps at SPA, one chance, one attempt with Tire wear and force cockpit view, no assist, and starting from a dead stop
  2. 5 lap race challenge, with worn tires, starting mid-pack in a 24 car field.
  3. weekly challege where you run 3 laps on 5 different tracks 2 tracks wet, one at night, two on dry surface where you combine times is your total.

Dirt Racing - circuit style tracks with jumps for the Race Trucks… Buggies, and side-by-sides… which obviosluy has new never before tracks.

That would be worth a $50 dollar DLC for me… which is as follws;

6-7 new racae tracks like:

  1. Barber Motorsports - Indy Race Track Forza did a trailer at this track years ago
  2. Mid-Ohio - Indy and GT Race Track
  3. Monza - Histirical Track (Easy Adder)
  4. Hockenheim - Historical (Easy Adder
  5. Monaco - F1 and Histi=orical Track
  6. Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, (Imola) layouts
  7. Millere Motorsports Park - Just a great track with multiple

Plus 5-7 Dirt Tracks, circuit style tracks like Crandon International Off Road Raceway! These could all be fantasy for all I care… easy enough… Use FH4 environments.

Ok… but for me the Bottom Line is NEW TRACKS!

I’m totally with you on the dirt tracks. It doesn’t make much sense to have off-road vehicles but no off-road tracks.

Us: new tracks, longer or new career events
T10:…lol nah, how about drift cars :joy:

I wouldn’t mind new tracks, but what I also really want is autocross to be added. If they won’t add any new tracks, autocross would be something fun to do other than racing, drifting, drag, etc. Speaking of drag, will Experimental Drag ever come out of the testing phase?

I absolutely agree with this. Experimental drag has been experimental since what, September?! 12-13 pages of feedback on the “Feedback wanted” thread.

Auto cross would be pretty cool. Maybe some customizable auto cross tracks on the Airport Open Space, have them shareable for the community. You could have that be a way to host tuning comps like the old days.

I’m not down for adding cars Willy nilly, but I do think either a drag specific car pack, like street outlaws. Think Horizon 4’s Nova Forza Edition. That car has the wheel tire package that is correct. Just like the Forza Edition ‘93 Cobra in 7. You guys can do it right. Just kinda keep missing.

That 7.2 racing V8 in FH4 should find its way into Motorsport muscle cars. Along with being able to put bigger tires in smaller cars. I’d like to be able to put 345’s on an old school Holden Ute!

To me one game, such as Motorsport 7 can last as long as they want. As long as what they add has substance and purpose beyond selling DLC. Read “ENOUGH WITH FORTNIGHT DANCES AND DRESSUP”. Concentrate on the cars and the racing and Motorsport will live on!

Competition done right will extend this for all the racers. More big events like last years FRC, but also smaller organized weekly races.

We have race tracks, we need organized racing.

A couple of new tracks, and ribbon variants of each, but please add a blueprint tab so we can create our own championships/tracks/cars/weather/etc properly, like they lead us to believe before launch.

I totally forgot that they mentioned they were going to have this. One of the handful of things they talked about that never came to fruition. Like how they said there was going to be integration with IMSA racing and besides a few banners at the races, I haven’t seen anything.

If I could just create my own championships that would work the same or probably even better than replaying the existing ones. It seems like that would be a pretty simple system to develop. If you could click through existing series or pick races and restrictions, this would be awesome. Some other games do similar things like this, and Horizon lets you blueprint actual race lengths and styles.

Motorsport Expansion DLC ;

Paid expansion featuring 6-8 new cars (1 New Division) and 1 new track from a real life Motorsport series. IMSA, V8 Supercars, Formula 1, Indy car, BTCC, DTM, Super GT, World Time attack, Autocross, Rallycross, NHRA drag racing, Formula Drift …. There are so many championships in which Turn 10 could enter a promotional partnership.

Bundle with relevant content updates (features not in game at launch) such as Qualifying, Pit stop animations, Tyre compounds, Team radio (race engineer), etc.

The FM6 NASCAR expansion with Miami speedway and proximity arrow update was great and something similar would be most welcome for FM7.

I went into some detail in the “All F1 tracks” thread recently about a how epic a “Formula 2000’s” expansion would be featuring legendary cars and tracks of the V10 era.

I could definitely go for some new tracks. Real life licensed tracks, sure, if they’ve got them. But if licensing is an issue, how about making up some fictional tracks. They don’t have to go all Forza Horizon, but they might be able to come up with some fictional track configurations to keep the game fresh.

Or as others have mentioned, tracks from other genres, like rally or autocross. We have rally cars in the game, but no real dedicated rally tracks.

Tracks Tracks Tracks! Hell, give us some of the old ones.

I think it’s pretty funny that almost every reply said they want more tracks. Even though in my original post I said we already know people want more cars and tracks, WHAT ELSE would you do to extend the game. That’s how adamant people are about wanting more tracks. Turn 10 apparently you have an answer here: give us tracks and we’ll be happy.

More tracks, more race cars, less street cars, penalty system, drivers rating system.

Bottom line… MAKE IT A RACING GAME!
