Forza motorsport 7 i dont see what the problem is.

I have played every single forza Motorsport and the horizon games and i like the direction forza 7 is going but if you want silly over powered cars play horizon games thats what they are there for and forza Motorsport is about the close racing.

not having op cars always winning every time, this time its down to your own skill, stop relying on the car and drive yourself or if you want to tune a car learn to tune the cars in these restrictions there is always a way around things and it brings closer racing to people online etc and for the first time in career i was wheel to wheel with ai and i loved the close action and i hope the close racing happens online to but have not tried it just yet someone will have to to tell me what its like.

Anyone else like forza 7? because i think its the best forza Motorsport since forza Motorsport 4

I think it is better than any past edition, including the much revered 4

agreed and i love the earning car feature to you have to earn stuff in this game instead of it being there already to buy.

Agreed! My only wish for the future is that they add more tracks, especially stuff we haven’t seen since FM4 like Fujimi Kaido and Camino Viejo de Montserrat.

Cool story bro…

The fact that everyone run the same car with the top tune in previous forza’s is just as spec as fm7.

Now we’ve gone from pi based classes to a myriad of car divisions. There’s still aways going to be a best car per division instead of class now. I like the divisions but don’t be so naive to think it fundamentally changes things that much.

It’s always been about the driver making the difference.

yeah but there has being just those people that rely mostly on the car to do the racing for them, i like the new system and it wont change back to the broken system because it would not be moving forward would it?

I have being a little naive but the people that are not happy about it are just the people that cant get op times in the leader boards and ive noticed on leader boards now all the times are very close to each other now even if you dont come that high you have a look and think oh im not that bad funny enough im very close to the top drivers times wise and thats what i like now its very close racing now which is very good.

I like the old system. I like seeing how a car I like stacks up against others from various divisions. Heck you can’t even race all muscle cars from the various years together. They are split into a few groups. I’m the one intentionally sandbagging in lobbies to avoid setting OP times in OP cars, but will set up to a top 25 in lobby in some random car. Skill is skill. Many players just failed how to understand to build a competitive car and also couldn’t drive well.

Homologation is all fine and good. It does somewhat keep the field tighter for now on the leaderboards but not in lobbies. Lost count how many people were 5-10 seconds off pace…and I wasn’t even driving well.

The problem is that turn10 is trying to fix a problem they dont even understand with a fundamental change to how they decide which cars can race. They believed that leaderboard cars was some fault of their own and that by reclassifying everything and throwing away the time tested PI system they could combat it, but they never even tried to understand the intricacies of this issue.

Leaderboard cars are a myth and always have been. 10,000 times on a track, sea of thousands of renault clio 10’s, 1st place mini cooper, second place abarth. The dominant car is clio because it was the first with a top10 downloadable tune, and it’s weight distribution make it quite simple to drive even at full sim(also i’d point out this weight dist is a huge bonus to those who want to rear end or pip people online). Is it the best car for every hot hatch race? not even close… but it’s a leaderboard car because thousands use the same car and every hot hatch lobby has 15+ of them. Is the problem here that this car is overpowered? bad PI balance? no, it’s just winning a popularity contest. I could make the argument that taking something away just because its popular sounds like a pretty supreme dick move, but since everyone floods the boards complaining that 9836th place is a leaderboard car and thats why i cant pass them the issue has been confused. Ultimately why do you care if other people want to all race the same car like idiots? If you think it’s unfair and you cant beat them in other cars you are very very wrong, in fact it’s almost a given that if there is a “leaderboard car” invasion in your lobby you should be faster than almost all of them if you know how to drive. because they are just picking the car they believe will give them the best chance to win, they are the ones relying on the car to do the work, and it never will.

So all these people complaining about forza7, yes including me, are not complaining because they cant use leaderboard cars anymore, or every really even thought leaderboard cars were an issue, a good racer says whatever i drive is a leaderboard car. We’re pissed that we’ve been playing a series for 12 years and the meat of how competitive racing worked just got stripped from the game and replaced with some arcade NFS BS system that has no basis in motorsports at all, and that simple options that have been around for several games in the franchise were ninja’d out of the series with no warning or explanation, all while the president of the company is grandstanding telling us all how much they listen to us and how important community and the opinion of the players are.

and what dont you like about it?

You sure? Usually the ones who enjoy it arent here complaining but having fun. Not that it isnt full of bugs and stripped features, but imo the driving experience is best of all Forzas.

The reviewers seem to like it. Me too.

Although that statement may be true for this forum, the game was only “officially” released a week ago; it may be a bit early to make an overall determination.

Speak for yourself. I’m loving this game and it’s been reviewed and rated highly pretty much everywhere. Most people that don’t like it have a pet feature that is either not in the game or has been modified that is their singular focus, completely ignoring he fact that there is a ton of good content in this game.

If class based racing comes back even if should have limits like homogolation does.

I don’t know who the “most” you’re referring to are but you don’t speak for me.

The way I look at it that FM is split into three parts.

Career . Quite possibly the best we’ve had in the series. It’s the first time I’ve ever really looked forward to another stint at a Forza career.
Features - apart from the long lamented CPLs it has enough in there to keep most occupied for hourseven before the AH goes live.
MP - Too early to say, very little up there just yet but rivals and lobby list will grow. Jury is out on the state of MP - this has more to do with players rather than the game so we can only hope.

Yes, career is superb IMO. Best since FM2.

You really think thats the only feature anyone cares about? CPL is one of many. Here’s others I can think of offhand:

No storefront
No clubs or club sharing
No overall leaderboards, team, drift, drag, photography, videos, etc.
No gifting
Numerous clunky design choices like test drive being burried
Lack of options for private multiplayer and free play
No affinity tallies
No way to group cars

For MP, really there just needs to be a visible vote to kick. Lack of punishment = wild wild west

This must be why there is an achievement to test drive a car cause its hard to find lol.

You don’t know that. You don’t know everybody that owns the game. The people on the forum is a tiny few of people who own the game.

From the ones we do know about and the public score/reviews…we know that the majority dont like it…which also makes it safe to assume that the majority of those that dont comment, vote etc. also dont like it.

That’s true, but generally if you (more or less) remove a major feature that’s in every game of a series people usually don’t like that.
