[Polls] What features from the competitor (GT7) would you like to see in a next Forza Motorsport?

They could make a carbon copy of GT7 - Forza BFGUP edition.
I would actively spend my time encouraging people not to buy it because they are unscrupulous, dishonest, bad actors in the video game development space and Gamers as a whole would be better without predatory companies like this.

actually being able to control the angle of the front wheels would be nice…

Doubtful. First, a new console generation implies a new Forza. Second, marketing claims are to be taken with a grain of salt. They also said ā€œbuilt from the ground upā€.

To stay on topic : SVG decals. Livery editor is outdated and there are countless mistakes with the displacement of decals.

Microsoft said that Windows 10 would be the last Windows ever. But now we have Windows 11.

Proximity radar like in Assetto corsa Competizione. The ability to choose your own cars for the AI to drive, like in GT7. Most of the stuff listed, I actively don’t want them to implement, because it would take time away from the development team on fixing what already needs to be fixed. For instance, in the last update, they added new music. Who cares about that?!! Fix the AI!! It’s gotten better, but it’s still really bad. Once you pass an AI car, they give up completely. If you want to see good AI, play ACC with AI aggression set to 100. Despite the occasional punting you off track, it’s really good hard racing. Also the cars feel really loose on the straights if you use a controller like I do. (Thumbstick all the way forward rotating left or right to steer)

I would like to be able to change the home screen scenario. As they did in painting editor the changing in time. I would also love to see more tire brands and let people choose wich brand they want on racing cars for example. Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone, GoodYear, Hankook. I would also love too see a dedicated class for German DTM and including all cars from all decades since the first car models. I would also love to be able to build my weather effects on track, getting a few different types of weather like in FM7. I would also love to see more body kits for cars. I would also love to see more car brands original parts like Audi be able to set the rings on black or chrome!

So you dont think they looked around to see what other developers have done and say maybe we should do that too and maybe we can also add X or Y. Rain has been around for quite some time in racing games, iracing didnt invent it, theyre the last one to actually implement it. Theyve done a great job and eventually someone else will implement some of the things they have.

The gt7 connection was specifically weather radar which iracing added. Its something that i thought would be a no brainer for turn 10 to add to their ā€œnewā€ dynamic weather system, but they didnt.

I also just want to add iracing is a great sim but it isnt the end all be all. Theyve shot to the top with weather, but even then its not available across the board. Same with ai, theyve just gotten started. But thats kind of the point, they need to continually add and refine systems and features. This is something turn 10 has yet to understand.

Forza traditionally copies features from other franchises. Ian Bell is notoriously salty about it (though Ian is also an idiot).

Anyway, IMO one of the best features of Gran Turismo compared to Forza is the flexibility when it comes to tuning. You can fine-tune ballast, ECU, even downgrade tires, which means you can more easily fit cars into certain levels, or even downgrade them so they can race in a class they’re originally too powerful for.

This is not something Forza would be able to copy without completely revamping the game’s tuning system.

Not that I’lll buy another or play again regardles, but other than fuel mix and selectable tcs, a simple
Being able to flash lights and indicate would be neat

I went down the list, and all I could think of is:
ā€œIs that the things people consider GT7 better than forza ?ā€

Which is precisely why I’m so mad that FM still uses the same Upgrade and Tuning system that all previous Forzas did. So many different upgrades that would vastly improve car variety in races will simply never be available to us.

@StolleJay Thank you for creating this poll.
I just want the game to have the followings

  1. Properly scanned car models.

  2. Realistic and accurate car sounds of both exterior and interior without any overdone mixing, without any stupid amount of reverb, without using anything artificial or synthesized. And No copy pasta sound. Complete sound update PLEASEEE

  3. Improve the overall graphics

  4. A lot of quality of life updates to bring some new freshness to the contents as currently the contents are boring. Energizing menu music and race music like FM4.

  5. Ability to change the music and make a custom playlist.

  6. Bring back previous Forza Motorsport sequel musics.

  7. Bring back engine startup sound and narrations in Forzavista.

  8. Make the game more stable and fix many other underlying issues.

  9. Improve the multiplayer so that we all can enjoy.

  10. Listen to what players are saying and communicate. Give us roadmaps and visions for this game.

And of course the above mentioned features of GT7 would be nice to have.

What features have they copied rewind? I rhink i remember him saying simething like that. I know he thought forza was going to copy the helmet view look to apex, but that didnt really happen. Forza does have something similiar for drifting but its only when youre actually drifting.

They can say alot of things, and we will decide if that’s actually going to happen…

Car Points *cough

If they don’t want to ever ever make FM9 and stick with the crusty FM Vista and expect that they can change it that much and pull in the $$$ whlist keeping a playerbase when the competition comes along with something far superior :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

The concept of rewinding in an earlier state of a race was a thing in Race Driver Grid, which was released a year earlier than Forza Motorsport 3.

Yea i know. Milestone games actually had it first in some game ive never heard of

343 also said the same for halo infinite. Its all pr/marketing lies to cover up half baked games.

I would love to have Forzavista in pits like FM7. I was so cool.

being able to change the brake bias or diff would be highly useful. Even just setting up a simple toggle preset.

One if it starts to rain you want to move the brake bias more to the rear… And if you start to get under steer mainly due to tyre wear you really want to play with the diff and bias to dial it out as much as you can until you pit
