That’s some deep biblical stuff there bro. Makes me want to seek out some scripture rather than go racing though
It’s not 20 minutes. If you stay in say TC there’s only 7 minutes left until the next race starts. Gives enough time to qualify. Obviously if you join early there’s 20 minutes left. If you stay in your chosen tier of race car it’s much less time to wait.
Yes, I do realize that. Doesn’t make it right to ever have to wait/practice for 20mins for a 6min race ever. Poor game design, and plain not fun. I rarely had enough fun to warrant staying in lobby to take advantage of the shorter practice time.
This game is broken garbage
Ok so I just finished up the 4th tour in the builders cup at 104 driver level.
Wont lie I’m a bit burnt out with it now. The car xp, the AI, the “graphics”, all just need a tonne of work. I do like the handling on the pad it’s fun and probably the single most aspect that keeps me coming back, only F1 really matches that feel on a pad as best it can without a wheel.
I think I’m gonna give it a rest now. See what they do over the next few weeks or months.
Have happy new year’s all enjoy!!
Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and expecting different results. I have ran the Ferrari 488GTB on Spa on FM6 and FM7 with great results. It’s a fun car to drive, easy to take around Spa, set some good lap times.
I have tried and tried and tried to tame the beast at Spa in FM8 and it is driving me insane. Can’t get the FM8 native understeer to go away no matter what I try. And to be fair to all three games I’m trying to keep the builds equal across all three games.
Conclusion: if you want to go insane, play FM8. If you want to enjoy racing and car culture through a video game in a Forza environment, play FM7 or FM6.
I stopped playing because of multiplayer, I have an S safety rating and I still get put in lobbies with rammers, it’s so annoying when you are in a podium position, and then somebody decides to ruin your race by ramming you off track, and the game will lower your skill level because of that, which was not your fault.
Skill and safety ratings only work when there are enough players of a similar rank to match. There simply aren’t enough active players to SBMM. They are just trying to fill lobbies at this point
Exact reason I don’t go online on console games. I used to a lot when I was a pc player.
So that’s pretty even wow.
Would be interesting to know how many of the “still playing” group are actually happy with the game. Instinctively I suspect it’s quite low.
I’m still playing personally but pretty much only just ticking off the weekly featured events (given I prefer the faster cars, I do find these reasonably fun). A shame as I would quite like to test more cars but the poisonous anti-customer CarXP system prevents me from doing so.
I admit the enjoyment is wearing off. I’m spending more time in Starfield or on other racing titles. When I return to Forza, I only have the game’s quirks staring me in the face, and its starting to annoy me.
Well I do still play the game, but to say I’m happy would be too much. I do like the physics, I like to do multiplayer races (even though there’s a lot of problems in this) and I do like the cars in the game!
But that said, there’s just too many problems.
The penalty system in online is an absolute mess, there’s a lot of bugs (fortunately I don’t experience as many as friends and others on the forum…), the CarXP system is an unnecessary barrier in the gameplay, the tracklist is too small, the communication to the community is almost non-existent, etc.
I was really hyped for this game, going back to FM after a long time playing FH. But as soon as I started playing the game I was really really let down.
I play the game two or three days in the week for a couple of hours, just to try the new cars and races, make some tunes and/or level a car, but I cannot lose myself to the game like I could in previous installments of both Forza series.
I will remain active on the forum, because I truly wish this game will become great. To do that they will need all of the community help they can get. (Preferably the kind that explains how something is wrong and how it should be improved instead of just saying something is broken)
I pretty much agree with the last few sentiments. Play it here and there but things are starting to get on my nerves more and more. I think you find the further you go in career the more adverse it gets. I finished the 4th tour over Xmas and no rush to do tha last one yet.
I dont get fomo with a video game so those timed tours can come and go for all I care!
Welcome to the club my friend xD
I’m part of the “Brick Wall Crew”. Still playing it from time to time. Not really enjoying the game. But wanting to keep up with the updates and see where it goes. As I coined the phrase, it’s kind of like banging your head against the brick wall.
I’m still playing it. Level 25 prestige now. . I’m hooked with online racing although I’ve noticed it’s worse than ever for rammers. It so bad I’ve actually took a few out myself. I know that’s wrong but they wound me up so bad keep spinning me out. They are experts at it.
Also my skill rating is too high at 4800. First place can be 6 seconds a lap quicker. No idea how they are so fast. I’ve tried loads of tunes. I do get the odd 5th but mainly I’m 15th to 10th.
yeah the mclaren event #2. only like 40k people have set laptimes. which is 20k less then the first mclaren rivals event
literary full of idiots that take you off, not one race today was clean. penalty system not fit for purpose, lost count how many times rammed off yet i get penalty
think i go back to gt7, game is a mess sadly
and those smoking cars need to be banned, blocks all vision.
Still playing the fomo stuff. Tip of the spear currently. It is so dull though knowing you’re driving a rubbish level 1 you can’t decently upgrade until you… finish the series. At least skip practice is front and centre, obviously a quick fix as opposed to a never ask me to practice option.
I think that counts as a not playing.
