Boneshaker is good, but easily beatable by several other vehicles. Heck, my 1965 Mini regularly destroys Boneshakers on dirt scramble races.
Easy fix for Turn 10 here is to make it S 905 when switched to AWD. Then they will run them RWD and be much more competitive.
I don’t have much issue against them on dirt, it’s on road where they’re a problem.
Agreed. It’d be a simple fix, and one that wouldn’t require changing the performance at all.
It would make them even worse to race against tbh as their high speed cornering would increase. It has enough traction on the rear wheels due to tyre width.
The only thing that holds the BS back is it’s low top speed of around 258-260kph.
Mini is good but not even close at bone shaker, i run sometime ago all my a-class rally cars on tarn hows scramble on winter, bone shaker was fastest (what a suprise) second was talbot sunbeam over second slower, mini was 0,7s slower than talbot.
Edit: @BriskArtist7600 I dont know what kinda tune you have on bone shaker but my bone shaker builds reach over 280kmh and if i remember right dirt version top speed is 287.
no cars can beat Bone Shaker overall speaking. Street races Alfa TZ2 or 33 can beat poorly tuned Bone Shakers with cornering in high speed turns but that’s about it. Bone Shaker is weakest in high speed turns by nature and U can mess up its turning further if too much rear downforce
There’s zero chance against a properly tuned Boneshaker such as the one shared by Rocklxd on top of leaderboard.
RS4 is “only” 3seconds slower than fastest bone shaker on that leaderboard but doesn’t have the same high speed cornering as Alfas so it’s just another car hiding behind Bone Shaker shadows just like Shelby Daytona.
Just tuned an A class Pontiac GTO… feels promising.
I use the vauxall v220 and the only time they beat me is when another player wrecks me cause they get mad I blow by them
It can achieve a good power/weight ratio but the relatively thin rear tires really hurt the performance. 295’s arent much when most other classic muscle cars can fit 335’s or more. This disadvantage in grip levels is very noticable with the GTO. It’s acceleration is awesome, the top speed sufficient but it loses time in corners.
The 70’s Trans Ams, the Mustang Fastback or Holden Torana are better choices.
Regarding RetroKrystal’s comment:
I agree with balancing single cars being too much effort (but in the case of the Bone Shaker it would be worth it) but the general balance suffers from a weakness inside the PI calculation. And this could be resolved.
The build “AWD, widest rear tires as possible, most thin front tires as possible + rear aero” cheats the PI system because it doesn’t value that it’s an easy task to counteract this unbalanced car build via tuning. It’s no surprise that the more a car can stretch this build the stronger the car is.
My S900 Bugatti EB110 SS is a prime example of this. It weighs 1140kg as AWD on a PI of 900. Swapping to RWD leads to the same weight of 1140kg (first thing that doesn’t make any sense) and a PI of 917.
Keeping the general AWD-Advantage in mind I would average my S900 Bugatti on a PI of 925. And this unbalance can be shown via lap times. On my own test track the average lap time for a S900 car lies around 5:57-6:00. All high-end S900 cars run 5:50s to 5:51s (CC8S, 911 (992), Aventador SV, McLaren F1, Ford GT '05, Zonda C). And then there is the Bugatti with a 5:47.
There are other cars like this. F50 GT and FXX on S2 for example. A good indication to find those cars are cars which lose PI when swapping to AWD/gain PI when swapping to RWD on A-class and above…
Abaout that nerfing bone shaker there would be also easier way just banned it from online racing (but i still like to see bone shaker gets nerfed)
Do you use manual or manual with clutch? For me there is something in that Bugatti that im not just fast when using it, in FH3 street race rivals i found myself allways be must faster when using 911 turbo than EB110. On that PI example Tvr Cerbera is totally opposite of that awd swapping PI 900 rwd build will lead PI sky rocketing over 930 and no matter what forza tuning tricks use lowest PI that can get with awd is something like 904.
I run the Bugatti with manual /w clutch. Thus, I didn’t upgrade the clutch and I’m using the sport transmission which also drops the PI (another flaw in the PI system). It greatly benefits from manual /w clutch.
Yep, the Speed 12 is the complete opposite. As RWD it’s possible to run the widest rear tires + race weight reduction on 900 but there is no chance of running it as AWD. I absolutely prefer it this way though. AWD-swaps should always (A-class and above) lead to a PI increase because with the correct tuning it has no disadvantage to RWD/FWD.
The Speed 12 is also in the 5:50s on my track but it takes a lot of throttle control and driving skill to get that time out of it. The Bugatti can always be floored, it never loses grip. breeminator and myself tested it on rain too and it’s basically unaffected by it - like the Bone Shaker.
Speed 12 is absolutly monster to drive at rwd (i remember back in the days when playing GT or GT2 and this car feel allways like it’s trying to kill you) I have test EB110 on drag strip and that compination stock clutch + sport transmision while using manual with clutch was somethink like 0,6-0,7s faster than race clutch and race transmision while using only manual, so i wonder how big different there would be on your test track where need to change gears mutch more than 4 times. And that fact how mutch using clutch benefits EB110 it wont never be that popular in online than bone shaker what is really fast even when using automatic.
Currently it’s more of a “secret option” online (for Rivals players it’s not) and I never saw one when I was doing the ranked qualification. It’s not an obvious choice because the stats don’t look that promising (there are a many cars on S900 with better power/weight ratios and overall stats).
It’s the magic of those “hidden gems” when you beat the meta cars with them. There are a few others besides the Bugatti but not everything has to be known ![]()
And I doubt it’ll ever reach the popularity of the Bone Shaker. A good thing because (aside from manual /w clutch) it is as easy to drive as the aforementionend.
Yeah that Bugatti is stupidly easy to drive but there is still more hidden gems that most peoples dont know. Last time i did S1 road racing adventure there was one EB110 but as you say we that do rivals know long time ago that EB110 is one of the best cars in S1 class.
And abaout discord for me it’s really damn stupid that we are in offical forums but we have almost communication with devs here.
How would you say the EB110 compares to the Noble for S1 class? I always use the Noble with off road tyres which performs well on road but am not sure it’s the best I could be using.
What’s your tune on that? I’d be keen to try it.
i just realised how the centrifugal v8 swap is crazy fast on a lot of cars … i ve just tune all classic muscles with it and i end up with really decent tune with similar weight/power ratio and lateral g than the TZ2 and the Daytona … but you need full aero to get decent lateral g … u get a lot of drag so its still balance …
maybe adding drag to these OP cars would be a good thing … mostly the bone shaker
and the IP system really need a rebalance … its crazy that engine swap are this OP … its should be a choise not an obligation to swap the engine
