So you expect everyone to use the same car in a class just to be competitive? What’s the purpose of having a class system if everyone needs to drive the same OP car?
Wasn’t DLC in FH4, but yeah it wasn’t in the autoshow, had to be bought if it came up in the Forzathon shop or auction. Now anyone can get it any time they want. I’m surprised more people don’t use it in A class, most people I’ve seen aren’t doing.
I had an A class lobby earlier where myself and one other person were using it. I was way ahead of most of the field but the other Bone Shaker driver was putting in laps 3 seconds faster than me, on short circuits. I couldn’t get close. I don’t like it to look at or drive particularly. But I’m not sure banning it is the right thing to do, I’m in two minds.
This is a really simple problem to fix. There’s no need to ban it, just raise the PI.
Obviously if an A800 car is way better than others, even without driver skills accounted for, then it obviously means that the car’s performance isn’t or couldn’t be calculated properly by PI.
Driver skill has absolutely nothing to do with the Bone Shakers dominance. It’s a problem of PI calculation and has been this way since the BS was added in Horizon 3.
It has been discussed to death and “git gud” won’t solve it.
In the right hands it is dominant in all race types. I am baffled at how PG nerfed it in FH4 then thought it was a good idea to make it freely available in 5. I’ve never owned one let alone driven one. A class ranked in FH4 used to be who could finish behind the Bone Shakers until it was banned. Eventually it’s gonna be tuned to be an absolute beast and PG will be called out to ban it again. Question is why don’t they learn.
I never played FH4 so I never experienced how OP it was in that game. I have however experienced how OP it is in this game. The driver doesn’t even have to have good lines in corners or anything to be at the top of the field. I’ve driven my butt off just to keep up with them (I have some top 100 rival times so I’m not slow) and the only ones I can keep up with are the ones that can’t drive well.
Git gud solves everything. I’ve won the eliminator in papa Fernandos vocho. Did I mention everyone in his family had a vocho? He also won the Baja in his vocho.
Boneshaker wasnt too hard to beat. 2 friends used Boneshaker with djs tune and i’ve used BMW 1M Series Coupe with random tune. Dont know why the tune shows “Offroad” Tires but im sure it wasn’t offroad. Anyway, was easy to pass them in every bend/corner the accel of boneshaker is better but u see lots of smoke in corners and thats your time to shine.
Maybe against some "hardcore"drivers it’s harder but with avg ppl in online its not the big deal and nothing prevents u from using boneshaker too
Jokes aside, I simply can’t stand its looks and boring driving style.
Sure, I beat my fair share of Bone Shakers online as well. Yesterday there was a train of 5 BS in A800 Dirt and I won the room with 96 pts using a Desert Flyer.
But beating slower drivers is not the point. On equal skill level there aren’t many cars that can take it on the BS. Powerbuilds Dodge Dart or '09 JCW Mini on power-heavy tracks, 360 CS and F50 if you get a good start.
While I got accustomed to the Bone Shakers dominance and don’t care losing against it depending on which car I drive the fact it lowers the attractivity of A800 tarmac & dirt races can’t be denied.
I’m still wondering about the person who was so much better than me in one yesterday. On twisty town circuits he was able to stop and corner far better than I could. Mine doesn’t like to stop or turn very well at all. Is it me or the tune? Could just be me, because when we got to a fast open track, he beat me there too… he was very good. I need to git gud!
He had a simple text livery on his car which said Bone Shaker killed A class or something.
I think the Bone Shaker does much better on courses with hairpins etc that can then utilise it’s acceleration to great effect…will do pretty good on courses with medium speed corners too. Anything with high speed parts and it will struggle…ran a Rivals with it against my previous ghost on Goliath using an Audi R8 and it took a while for me to pull a decent distance ahead…at the start, once the acceleration had slowed, the R8 was gaining
