I have copied the forza icon to my task bar I use that to start the game.I just do a right mouse click on it to get a small window to show with a couple of choices in it.
I 100 percent agree. First Donut Media broke the G920 and this second one broke the game. Pathetic indeed but don’t complain to hard or they will serve you one of these

I’ve just fixed this on my kids PC, it was being caused by a poor wifi connection.
when running an ookla speed test the speed and latency were plenty good enough, 150mbps and 23ms but the live latency while downloading was really high at around 900ms. I plugged in a USB wifi adapter and retested and the live latency dropped down to around 25ms and the game synced straight away and loaded fine.
I’ve just made up and plugged in a network cable to my kids PC and it loads every time now.
its far from every windows user, on my PC its always been perfect but as said I’ve encountered loading issues on my kids PC but that was fixed by ditching a bad wifi connection.
I’m on series X and the game still hasn’t loaded after at least 50 minutes. This is a disgrace. Cloud storage for save games is worthless trash

I have recorded the screen from sync to see the game. it take almost 2 minutes. In Cloud Game or Console you can not see such shrinked cover screen.
My laptop is ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (2022) with AMD R7 6800H and NVidia RX3060(90W).
How do you skip it ?
It is very shameful for Forza team, compare with PC and Xbox S console. From AMG cover to Introduction text, PC take 2-3 minutes, but console just need 40 seconds to see the introduction text.
I record both in my console and laptop. Why it is different so much.

I just record the loading in xBox S console, it take only 40 seconds to see the introduction text, but in my Gaming laptop as well as ROG ALLY, it take 2 minutes.
I do not use a wifi connection, only cable. However the update this week has fixed the not starting problem, and the really bad loading times for the game start for me.

I only have SSD M2 hard drives that can reach speeds of up to 7000 MB/s. Typically, they perform significantly faster. Therefore, the issue does not appear to be with my drives. When launching the game, there is a black screen with a spinning circle between the “Turn 10 Studios - Xbox Studios” screen and the start screen, where the game version is displayed in the bottom left corner. This screen remains for over 30 seconds, which I believe is not normal.
This was an issue the developers acknowledged just before release of the Italian Automotive update. They are aware of it and are looking into it. It came about as a result of fixing unknown crashes that were occurring (that have since stopped as far as I know)
Could you check the troubleshooting from this article and see if any of the steps help your issue.

I’ve had the controller fall asleep twice this afternoon while waiting for the data sync to happen. This really needs to be looked at properly.
I’ve seen a few others on Reddit report this as well but game load times on series x have skyrocketed. It takes upward of 5 minutes to change car, 12 minutes to load in from the start screen, and internet connection lag is causing matchmaking errors for the trial!

Im having issues as well, started today. 1st noticed about 8 or 9 hours ago.
Not as bad as what you have mentioned but found my daily income failing to redeem, took longer to load into the game to begin with. Change car, loading into My Cars. Everything is laggy. Remove car also hangs, saving upgrades etc. Also My cars some of the thumbnails seem to go and replaced with just a white background and no car. This cam happen when loading into My cars or after a car remove where it lags that and then once thats done cars around the removed car the thumbnails are gone.
Worst for me is the Auction House normally get 1 or 2 of the new exclusive cars from here but quick buyout is laggy, collecting cars, credits what ever it may be. Auctions list loads up instantly if you just defaut search to see how quick listins appear.
Since the 1st time I spotted it have been back on this evening and ended up getting a which save did I want to use where the console save was actually older than the cloud save by about 10 mins. 1st time thats happened.
Had no issues playing online, have done the Elimator and Tour this evening for the playlist with zero issues.
I have a 2nd account which I don’t use now for FH5 I did at the start and had 2 accounts running and playing everything twice. So I’ve loaded into that account and still the same issues. I did think maybe its the size of garage as im into approx 1050 cars now and I know its been increased but could be a delayed issue of saves getting too big or something. 2nd account is definitely well under 1000 more like 700 or so.
My Internet is 1Gb fibre so thats not an issue. So if I was getting same issues tomorrow I was thinking of rebooting my router incase its something like that but if other people have same issues can’t be that

Both seem to having issues with the menus themselves specifically and navigating the Garage and the Pause Menu
