PC Version Multiple USB/Peripheral & SLI Support PLEASE!!!!!!

Im really hoping after the hundreds of posts and complaints from Forza 6 and FH3, they T10 have listened this time and have full USB/Peripheral support for all hardware. The last iterations were just useless. I have different branded hardware and therefore have seperate USB for Wheel, Pedals, Seq Shifter, H-Shifter, Handbrake, Button Boxes etc. Both Forza 6 & FH3 can only detect ONE DEVICE AT ANY ONE TIME! as im sure most of you are already aware.

Ill be waiting until after release and check these forums before giving them any more of my money because a major racing title like this, should be compatible across the board.

Secondly, SLI SUPPORT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! Most of us racers love using triple screen to get the most out of these games and having a 2nd card to gain the extra performance required to maintain decent FPS is critical… Again no SLI, then no Buy!

Finally UDP/Telemetry: There are hundreds of apps out there as well as hardware like Simdash and the Windows Store doesn’t support ANY of it thanks to the files being encrypted!

Thoughts people?

Multi USB support comfirmed. Forza Motorsport 7 Gameplay : Racings Suits, Forzathon & New Wheels!!! (Q&A w/ Turn 10 Part 1) - YouTube

Yes agreed to all the above especially for Xbox One X. Button box is collecting dust. Pedal vibration support for my CSPedals as well

Can anyone please confirm that Forza 7 has both triple screen/ custom resolutions and SLI support please? As this is the first Forza to be made from the ground up for PC, Im really hoping T10 havent dropped the ball on this one.

Not all of us are on series 10 high end GPU’s and playing on triple screen pretty much demands that we utilize two GPU’s to maintain a decent FPS!!

Finally can we now finally have some telemetry udp support so we can use dash apps and hardware such as Simdash? Or are we looking at encrypted files on PC yet again making it impossible to edit anything?

+1 for this…

I’ve heard 21:9 is supported and also that to play 4K on triple screens would need 1080Ti’s in SLI. Sadly I can’t remember where… searching…

FOUND IT! Want Forza Motorsport 7 to look its very best? You’ll need a PC - The Verge

"ALAN HARTMAN, HEAD OF TURN 10 STUDIOS
“Oh, of course, of course [PC will be better]. I don’t know what that gap is come this winter when we ship the console. But there’ll be a gap. You can go spend however much you need to spend to get over it. Obviously, you can throw ten thousand plus dollars into your PC and build a killer rig, you can do multiscreen. That’s not what the console’s trying to be. The console is trying to be an entertainment device you just take into your living room, plug it in and you’re up and going. The PC commitment’s a different layer.

“The biggest difference from a game creator between the PC environment or the console environment is the efficiency we get out of the console hardware because it’s just a known platform. We know exactly how long it takes to transfer a texture from one place to another. We can map that out. We can make sure we have no gaps, no stalls. And we can just be super efficient in what we get. So we get a lot more out of the fixed console. There is no fixed PC right hardware config, right? So you have to build that adaptability into your code and that flexibility, and you just can’t assume things are going to work the same way.

“That actually ends up being a pretty big performance boost. And it’s where when I get the, you know, the teardowns, which we’ll have on Scorpio where they’ll take all the pieces out and try and do the off-the-shelf PC and say, ‘Well this is the PC that equals the Scorpio’ — it just isn’t. You’d need to go do that and add another 30 percent to your specs to make sure you’re going to get the performance we get.”

Well at least it mentions multiscreen and $10,000+ PC’s, sadly though, no specific mention of Crossfire/SLI… :frowning:

A second article on the same site mentions “older wheels” so there’s hope there. Especially as a pic part way down shows the TH8A shifter amongst wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster, Fanatec that can be made out…

Looks like they might have listened to those denied triple screen & multi GPU support in Apex/FH3…

Anyhow it looks LIKELY that both will get support but not a direct statement giving concrete information. Personally as I’m only running 3 x 144Hz 1080P freesync monitors and not 4K, with FM7 running 4K @ 60fps on XBoneX with 6TFlops GPU power… My R9 290X’s are just as powerful an I got 2 of em…
Though Vega is coming and I’m planning to upgrade, 1 or 2 cards yet to be decided though ;D

Im still trying to find information on whether its been confirmed that there is MultiGPU support and Telemetry output for the PC/Windows Store version? FH3 didnt have either and was poorly optimised so im hoping Forza 7 is different…

On the multiple device support side of things, im hoping all the wheels and hardware T10 say they have made sure are all compatible this time around means we get multi device support. When FH3 was released the Windows Store coudlnt detect multiple devices so my Thrustmaster Wheel coupled with a Fanatec Shifter and Clubsport pedals were useless as the game could only “see” the wheel.

Finally, as regards telemetry output, we need to be able to control udp output to dashes, Buttkickers and Motion Rigs… If they havent sorted this out this time then this game will be DOA?

Does anyone have anything confirmed all these issues have been resolved yet? Any info would be greatly appreciated?

Cheers Jorrell

With XB1X in short trim future. I think it will come multiGPU. But I think it come same time when the X comes out.
