I hope by shutting down the Oct update he means wrapping it up and no more fixes added to get it ready to ship and not cancelling it and adding it to Novembers update. Is there a track coming in Oct?
Yeah I think he meant that theyāve stopped work on the October update and any new fixes with be in the November update.
The current AI used for the penalty system should be able to detect the (no nice way of saying it) idiots who are only interested in disrupting a race, and by this I mean - weāve all been in a practice session where thereās 1 or more idiot driving the wrong way around the track, or just intentionally ruining practice laps by ramming cars, (and 9/10 itās these same people who conveniently forget to brake on turn one, causing chaos). I think there should be harsher than in the race penalisations in practice sessions for this, or even a very bold WRONG WAY on screen and a countdown timer to either disqualify them from the race or turn their cars around.
What cars are p2w exactly?

R8 Audi and VW Golf are the stand out ones
There are good races to be had in public hoppers. You just need to get lucky

I think they are jerking your chain with Pay to Win.
I mean the only DLC is the car packs and the Premium membership. I donāt know if any of those would be considered pay to win.
If you want to know the best cars on any given track/class combo go to Rivals.
Me on the other hand I try to get the highest NON leaderboard car on the Leaderboard. Have done that in every version of Forza.
In Forza 1 I was 150th in the world and never used the Honda CRX, which was the Leaderboard car for 3 or more classes due to the āBroke Aeroā bug on the front of the car.
Forza 2 I was 250th in the world not using any class killers.
I just think the game is a whole lot funner trying to finda good car that the top guys donāt use.
Plus you can always just race smarter than all the idiots, and avoid the first few classes and race consistent.
In multiclass I have pulled top three overall from a lower group car, just by driving smooth. Thatās fun to beat higher class cars giving up PI.

so I was pulling his chain really

I know you said. Prestige 3 as well. All without using a pay to win car. Highly impressive
I hadnāt had any rammers until recently. Ironically they happened after I had gotten my rating back up to S.
I was rammed multiple times by the same person on the last lap at Mugello because my tires were going and I was defending my 3rd position (not weaving or anything, just not leaving the insides open; it was only my fronts that were bad, and my car could accelerate faster than the rammerās car). Three times the rammer took both of us off track. The first two I recovered in front of him, the third he finally sent me way out into the kitty litter. He got less than a second worth of penalties for all of these kamikaze moves.
The second one was somebody going bowling off the start at Nurburgring GP.
Road America tonight. Iām in group 2. Two Miataās in group 1 are fighting in the barking zone of the Hairpin. I go ahead of them. The one guy completely pitts me for no reason at all.
Hence the reason I made the post of Toxicity is Killing this game.
Ridiculous that people can wreck other players races, just for spite.

In their recent article about FRR, Turn 10 mentioned ideas surrounding Racing Etiquette, how to promote it rather than enforce it. So we have to wait and see what comes out of thisā¦

That happens quite often when u are on defensive.
I got my biggest penalties (all of them not deserved) when I slowed down not to hit the cars in front of me. Because when you do that people behind you ram you and you get the penalty not them. Donāt expect clean racing till they fix the flawed penalty system.
