Greifers

i dont know about anyone else but im getting fed up of people on forza over defending and blocking you to the point that they move to block at litrially the last minute giving you no time to react so you end up tapping the back of them then they retaliate and completely ruin your race because they messed up trying to block you.

anyone else experience this and get fed up of it yet nowhere cant you report for griefing in the game and if you report to microsoft they dont do anything about it

Happens over and over again. Just 5 min ago in S Class on Hakone. Guy in a Viper was slower on the straight and when I made my move he just pushed to the left and send me off track.

Some of those players are just the worst the gaming community has to offer. Absolute low.

After this I finally had enough and deinstalled. Not worth it at the moment.

Because they don’t have any racing knowledge at all…or don’t care. If you’re making a move for overtake on the outside, they defend and you switch to the inside they can’t cut you off…prob a little both and driving by a motto “you shall not pass” :joy:

The guys doing burnouts around the whole track are also annoying. I’ve seen some people say it’s a bug but those people have more faith in humanity than I do.

People out there just ruining other people’s days for fun and nothing happens. Seems to be everywhere lately.

Watching my skill value get lower and lower every race, from ~4850 down to 4590, due to these immature “drivers” is beyond frustrating. Driving as clean as possible with this crap netcode, avoiding as many crashes as you can, staying as far off of other drivers revenge list as humanly possible and more won’t gain you a single bloody point. Getting smacked off of turns and pushed off the widest parts of a circuit by these idiots and it’s an instant ~20-30 skill point deduction at the end of a race.

Matchmaking clearly doesn’t work because these careless and deliberate hooligans remain in the supposedly higher skill / safety rated lobbies.

What’s the point of being a clean driver in this game? Where’s the incentive to come back and have fun in a any part of the game when this behavior seems to be engrained in every driving mode this game has to offer, from players and AI alike?

Edit: With the replay system STILL not working and with no roadmap in sight for a fix, is there any reason to play this game for the competitive aspects or is it just a self-driving screensaver?

I think only if you have/know enough people to really organize your races. Had that back in Forza Motorsport 4 and it was just awesome.

Played a little GT the last hours but man… The driving in this game sucks compared to FM (at least with controller) :unamused:

I know myself and probably download FM again and cry about the ramming again :man_facepalming:

Equally annoying are the people who will drive into a corner to pass you, completely missing the apex and understeering right into you shoving you off the track.

I think it have to be a bug. What I have seen in races is that those cars don’t typically drift, they just drive around track like everyone else. I was curious about it so I tried tuning a car in free play to try to replicate the effect with different settings but I didn’t get any smoke even with maximum toe setting without actually drifting. Cars basicly became totally undrivable but no smoke there.

I saw a guy yesterday leaving a smoke trail all the way down the Mulsanne straight and he was leaving tire marks on the pavement so I don’t know.

I’ve also seen a couple people where it’ll only happen when they’re changing gears.

I’m not going to write it off as a bug yet. Either way it causes chaos if you’re in driver view. The current state of humanity makes a game like this hard to play.

Yes I have noticed long tyre marks too. I don’t think it’s about the tune alone since I can’t replicate it in any way in free play nor I think it’s about driving style either. No one can drive a full lap with a pedal on the floor doing burnouts while racing but the smoking is continuous in these cars for what I have seen.

Maybe faster tyre wear of multiplayer combined with some tunes with a lot of toe angle might be the cause? Not that anyone couldn’t use it to their advantage in the race…

It would be interesting to know does a player see the continuous smoke in multiplayer if it’s from their own car?

I’ve also wondered if they can even see it. The guy I saw yesterday didn’t have any fishtailing or anything going on and he seemed to be cornering well enough. So I wouldn’t even say he was ‘drifting’ at all. It does seem weird.

I just wouldn’t be surprised if people were doing it on purpose. No penalty and you can mess up as many people as you want behind you. Seems like something Forza racers would take advantage of.

I ghosted a guy trying to run me off the road which caused him to go offroad and flip a few times…it was glorious. I saved the replay so that i can come back to it and laugh buuuuuuuuuuuuut replays are still broken on PC

Last night I heard a child, then when the race starts he dive bombs everyone in T1 and gets DQd by lap 2.

Is DQing a thing?

yes. After 12s of penalties the player is DQ’d.

Which is funny because off-track penalties are so broken that you can clip 0.001s in certain spots and get a 17s penalty.

12s? Needs to be more agressive IMO, im a firm believer of 3 strikes and you’re out. ← probably drives down “player engagement” metrics tho.

Separately just got through a race where the guy in 1st didnt manage his tires (he lost 7s lead on 2nd to last lap)…and ended up sliding all over the place on the last lap…as he was struggling for grip on the straight he intentionality tried to run me off the road.

Players have zero racing etiquette…TBH i dont even care if i win or not - i just wanna go fast

Knowing full well that so much of the FRR implementation is already broken, asking for more is foolish. However, I do really wish for FRR could include “unsafe re-entry” penalties. I prefer to start a race from the back of the field, or will drop back if I start further up, and see how many places I can gain in a race. Far too often though, this is ruined by a player who has gone off track and when re-entering, just cuts blindly back onto the tarmac. They will either hit another racer, causing another wreck, or just get hit themselves. Of course, FRR then further compounds this by penalizing the player who hits the returning car.

All of this carnage being caused by a player who thinks that they will somehow recover the place they were in at the beginning. Please, just accept that your race has been compromised, and try not to do any more carnage yourself.

I did some testing with M4 GTS, first in free play where is set so much toe I could barely keep the car on track and also added 0.0 / max camber settings front / rear. Awful thing to drive with that setup. Still, no smoke even if I had continuous tyre squeal even on straights. As a next step I went to multiplayer practice. Again, no tyre smoke. I saw a car passing me on track and I even asked did he/she see any tyre smoke on track. Still no. I’m really starting to believe it have to be a bug in the game / on some cars.

I appreciate the effort.

I’ll stop hating on them when I encounter them. I admit I haven’t seen them as often recently. It was bad for a couple weeks though.

Thanks.

SBMM isn’t working because there aren’t enough active players to balance the lobbies. Game is dead
