The November update was a hefty 908 MB which sure is more than the car pack itself. Are there any patch notes out or some things that you noticed that have changed?
They may not have to inform us, but it is the right and courteous thing to do. We are their paying customers, after all.
I’m happy to say I’ve detected no ill effects from the patch. It did take an extra console restart to make the skill-point dial work again. (I always restart it once after an update.)
No sarcasm intended. The Xbox has a problem with cached content going out of sync with updated games. It needs to be reset to avoid anomalies after a game update. That’s not the devs’ fault.
I haven’t noticed anything personally, except for the “harmless glitch” being discussed in another thread was patched and that the Crown Vic’s price skyrocketed in the Autoshow. To 25,000 CR. Still nice and cheap, but an exponential increase from where it was. Funny though, now that Zeem mentions it, photo mode from the D-Pad did seem faster…
Why is there no Update Features post yet? It’s usually on the day the DLC comes out. I really gotta know what the adjusted or fixed or put in the game.
There is definitely very different drivatar behavior now .
Before patch : 5 lap Goliath in Jag HE edition on unbeatable, only allowed cars was Jag HE, Metro and Metro HE. Typically I finish 5th, behind all the Jag HEs because they are faster than me but in front of the Metro pack since they are much slower than me due to the car having a crappy top speed. Each lap the drivatars in front were waiting on me near the start / finish line, showing some brutal rubberbanding effect. I also managed to lap the Metro drivatars with ease.
Post patch : Now the drivatars before me don’t wait at the finish line anymore, they were more than half a lap ahead of me now instead of just outside the minimap. The drivatars behind me were now typically faster as well and I didn’t lap them myself anymore, in fact I had to be more careful to not screw up too much since in the 3rd lap they managed to pass me (due to me being a nice tree hugger, must be something from my DAoC Hibernian days).
My gut feeling tells me the rubberbanding effect has been decreased a lot but difficulty has been adjusted accordingly.
Looks promising but I need to see how it all works out in normal races now.
I did a normal 30 lap race on a scramble event in Byron bay. used a jaguar f type HE against a random assortment of other cars on unbeatable difficulty. got 2nd and didn’t have any issues keeping in 2nd almost the whole race. 1st did not overlap me which is usually what happens. I think they did do something to stabilize the ai in the game.
Same here, been crashing quite a lot after this update. Before this update I basically never crashed. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but it seems like the performance is also worse in some areas after this update, seems like the FPS drops a lot more in the Surfer’s Paradise area than before (these are on PC)
But, it would be nice to have a changelog since the PC version’s update was over 2GB (XOne version was around 900MB if I remember correctly) so they’ve clearly changed something, just kinda weird how they haven’t mentioned anything about this update because atleast from what I remember the previous updates for this game have all had change logs available on the day of release
These 2 things I’m not completely sure of but I’ll throw them out anyways. Groove radio never worked online right? If it did mine never did and it just now is.
2nd um… was there always fog? I feel like I wouldn’t have noticed either if they weren’t new but then again the kind of fun I get into before and while playing H3 makes it a strong possibility I never noticed/forgot.
