Thursdays are typically update days for Windows 10. If there are no notes about it I would guess that they’re general performance improvements and fixes from the Known Issues list. If the console got the update, then that would possibly indicate a content change.
This. This is one of the big problems with this developer/company. They don’t communicate with their playerbase, and the players are left guessing about everything.
No. Typically a developer won’t write a “big article” about every update. They do, as a matter of practice, release some form of patch notes on every update made to software their customers use. Whether in the form of a readme file, blog post, or link to more information.
Every software update I’ve ever issued has them. Every OS update includes them. Even relatively insignificant phone apps include them. And you can bet Playground has them as well.
So for a game many people are still heavily invested in, i can’t blame customers for wanting a bit of transparency on how their game will be affected. If there is an update (i haven’t fired it up yet).
OFCOURSE THEY DO. WE BOUGHT THEIR GAME! WE NEED TO KNOW EVERYTHING THEY CHANGE TO OUR GAME. EVEN IT’S 1MB UPDATE or 1000MB UPDATE. It’s their responsibility.
IN COUNTER STRIKE GO, even if VALVE FIX THEIR CHICKEN GRAPHICS THEY EVEN MENTION IT. THATS CALLED BEING A PROFESSIONAL. AND THEY ARE DAMN RIGHT MAINTAINING IT.
Where did I ask for a big article? Show me in my post where I asked for that. Just an acknowledgement from a dev or somebody saying “Oh, just some performance fixes” etc etc would be enough.
I didn’t claim that you said that you [Mod Edit - D]. Just making a point, they don’t have to write up about an update every time one happens. Obviously, the one today isn’t game-changing enough to talk about.
Not to mention the fact that when a AAA title is THIS broken, YEAH, we should be able get a couple bullet points every couple weeks to know what’s going on. I think the second a developer makes any downgrade to a game like they did a while ago with the visual downgrade in one of the updates, then the consumer should have a right to know what they’re doing to a product we’ve already payed for.
