I hope Forza developers add cross plane and flat plane crankshaft and different gear type (like straight cut gear) options as it massively changes how the car sounds
We already have straight cut gears if you install the Racing Gearbox ( transmission )
The ones that say 7,8,9 or 10 speed will not whine, but the one called Racing transmission will.
it used to be alot louder, when the game was launched, untill non IRL racing viewers complained about it sadly, so it got nerfed sadly.

I loved the loud screaming gearbox, I genuinely don’t understand how people think it was unrealistic, like just listen how onboard views of race cars sound … you barely hear the engine.

Would make more sense to add thorough customizable sound volume for every car.

I would like to see forza move in a more realistic direction when it comes to tuning, but I really dont feel like they will. “bigger turbo” is almost never just better in every way, at every point in the rev range, likewise, the cam profile would lead to less power in some places in exchange for more in others, and so on.
it would be fun to actually have to go through and work out what build makes the most power and where, but the general playerbase wont get it and then complain when building cars is harder then “right bumper + select” on everything, or at least thats probably what they think the reaction will be.
