Mclaren P1 GTR active aerodynamics(rear wing) is broken and dashboard is not race mode

The dashboard is not race mode but normal mode like standard P1.
On normal mode, velocity displaying on center.

On race mode, gear shift displaying on center. and DRS and IPAS(KERS) indicator.

Is this why the dynamic rear wing didn’t working on any speed? because Forza6 don’t have DRS or KERS(boost) function?

The DRIVECLUB has DRS & KERS function and race mode dashboard. and active rear wing too.

Forza does have a drs wing function on the standard P1. I’ve noticed that the wing doesn’t work on the P1 GTR. It’ll probably be fixed in a patch next month. As for the dash to be honest it doesn’t really bother me though it would be nice to see it fixed.

What is it supposed to do?

Maybe this is part of why I can’t get it anywhere near FXX K lap times? Seriously, take the two cars out for some laps on a few tracks and report back with your times. My friend and I were hoping to do a P1 GTR versus FXX K championship thing, but both cars have like 2-4 PI worth of upgrades so they remain too far apart for the P1 GTR to have a chance.

I’ve tested the p1 gtr and fxx k on a couple of tracks so far and it’s a little closer then you think. For instance on circuit de Catalunya I got a 1:53 with fxx k and 1:54 with the p1 gtr. I think the updated might have fixed the way the fxx k handles though cuz I swear it sticks better then before. To me the p1 understeers somewhat but it can hang with the ferrari on the straights too.

I just drove the FXXK and I think it sticks a lot better now.

Active aerodynamics (while animated) are not simulated. DRS, aero brakes, active diffusers, etc are visual-only on Forza.

Something else that woud be nice to see fixed/add on the P1 GTR would be the ability to add vinyls to the center orf the door. The same way as on the normal P1… Cause now it’s hard to make a proper paint for it…

Asked already and it’s not being changed, time to work around it

Pretty sure that the aero on the P1 GTR is not active, it has a fixed wing…the McLaren is a handfull and requires very smooth inputs. It took me a bit but after a few laps unbeatable AI couldn’t keep up with me.

Braking - I found it a bit different than other cars. The initial bite is very weak but once braking it slows down quickly and caught me off guard a few times as I found myself stopped short of the apex.

Turning - A little understeer heavy but under the right throttle can be overcome and settled. Once settled into the corner you can increase throttle and it sticks like glue.

Acceleration - Obviously it has mega big power and needs to be respected.

It seems like the P1 GTR is a little underpowered to me. Not as many upgrades as the FXXK either. It just feels like its lacking in front downforce and I think it should have more than what it has. Full downforce only gives you 303 pounds of downforce on the front. There’s over 1000 pounds on the rear if you max it out. To speed is nice, the acceleration is quick and I find the car very stable. But the front end seems to scrub going round some corners. The FXXK has definitely been updated. It handles a lot better now. I just hope they update the P1 GTR. Still very quick and on some tracks faster than the FXXK.

Do deployable wings actually have any dynamic aero or is it just a static value? I’ve wondered that for awhile…

I remember from the days of FM4 where they were for looks, and I’ve been under the impression that is still the case. Buuuuuuuuuut, take a stock Aston One-77 out on Nurburgring GP and tell me the wing doesn’t have some effect.

You can easily test it for yourself. Take the Veyron (or any other car with a powerful aero brake) to Le Mans, get it up to a certain speed, then let it coast to a stop. Then do the same run again, but this time set your brake pressure to 0%, then slam the brakes, which will activate the aero brake but not your disc brakes. There should be no difference in deceleration between coasting to a stop and using the aero brake.

That’s a good idea I’ll try it out

The braking also seems to be much worse than the normal P1 I made into a GTR replica, and with the Forza Splitter, you get 17 Pounds more downforce than the actual GTR! All this car needs is a Braking and front downforce buff, then it might stand a better chance against the FXX K. The rear wing looks like it has hydraulic tubes in it, so maybe the wing just doesn’t operate correctly, or maybe T10 overlooked it, which makes more sense as it’s not moveable in Forzavista. I was really hoping T10 would nail this car, but it still needs some work sadly.

The rear wing is functional in Driveclub. So which is true? Should it be functional or steady?

FXX K has factory color variation and race mode type dashboard instead of standard laferrari’s nomal tachometer.
It feels exclusive and focused on track.

But P1 GTR has one manufacture livery and same dashboard of standard P1 and rear wing is broken?

It’s definitely T10 doesn’t work careful as compared with FXX K.

at least, some of this should be manufacture color in game.

Dash looks pretty much like real life, what is the problem?

I’ve always felt that ferrari have got more love from turn 10. Both the dash and wing need to be fixed in the next update and the standard forza splitter having 17 pounds more downforce than the gtr is ridiculous. All of this is unacceptable and to be honest I’ve never seen turn 10 be so sloppy with a car before. I love the P1 in general and I was really hoping they would nail this car but I unfortunately I was wrong. Please turn 10 fix this. A lot of people were looking forward to this car
