Mclaren P1 GTR active aerodynamics(rear wing) is broken and dashboard is not race mode

Guys it does not have active aero!!! The wing does not move in real life on the GTR. It is fixed. They got the wing right. I thought we have car enthusiasts in here?

You can see the driver push DRS button on steering wheel when running long straight.
so, you claim the wing should fixed in game because there is no manual DRS function in game and driver can’t manipulate it?

In race, gear shift and RPM is more important than velocity.

That’s why this dashboard layout called ‘race mode’

Ok, I misunderstood. I thought people were calling for the aero brake to work…as far as DRS I see what you are saying. Maybe there will be a patch, but the MP4-12C has never been fixed either, luckly the 650S was.

Honestly the wing is not that big of a deal. I didnt even think it moves dosent bother me one bit. Only thing is the car understeers somewhat but tuning helped that. It runs nearly neck n neck with fxx k. It actually walks it on long straights above 180mph.

Would you be ok sharing your settings? Thank you.

1 thing I found embarrassing that this car could be heavier than standard P1…

and standard P1 could have a lower ride height either…

The wing on the GTR is active, T10 have stuffed it up.

As can be seen when on the straights the wing tips back.

According to Mc Laren the wing is “fixed”… And you need super vision to see if that wing tips under braking at 200-300+ meters… I certainly couldn’t pick it.

Not saying it doesn’t, but man, are you an eagle or something lol…lol.hehehe…

But car does have some serious g.runt though, doesn’t it

No, McLaren themselves say:

Having spoken to individuals who actually own and drive them (bit of a McLaren fanboy if you’ll excuse me) the wing does tilt back when the DRS button is pushed. Far as I know it does not work as an airbrake, only DRS.

Ahh, my bad, just saw the “fix wing” aspect…thanks for the links, I’m now much better informed Mitch, most appreciated.

Watched the vid and could see the tail of the fixed wing flatten on deceleration, so thanks.

But the thing does fly, doesn’t it, and for a relatively ‘smallish’ cu in but huge BHP (936 bhp?? Isn’t it) motor, it certainly growls like a monster.

Man to see the p1 gtr and aston vulcan on the same track is just nice . I really hope Turn10 adds the Vulcan thru dlc. I can see it being a P905 car easily .

Fixed as in fixed height (vs the non fixed P1 wing), not fixed solidly.

Considering we can’t even use the KERS or DRS systems, why do we really care that they don’t show up? And who’s say that P1 GTR doesn’t have multiple dashboard setups.

The P1 GTR issues haven’t been fixed as of the May update, neither has the fuel consumption of the Koenigsegg One:1 (uses 45% in 3 laps of Daytona Tri-Oval) which makes the car almost un-drivable for longer races.

Dear Turn 10,
Would you please consider listening to the community, fix the issues that plague both the P1 GTR and K1 (yes, that refers to the Koenigsegg One:1. “K1” is a nickname made up by the Asphalt 8: Airborne player community), and increase the curb weights of the LaFerrari and FXX K by 464 lbs (210 kg) just to be even more realistic by also weakening their acceleration, handling, and braking capabilities?

As for buffing the P1 GTR, Top Gear observed a 0-62 mph time of 2.3 seconds (which translates to 0-60 in 2.2 seconds, same as the Porsche 918 Spyder), so maybe buff the P1 GTR’s acceleration capabilities as well?

Sincerely,
A highly concerned Forza/Asphalt player

P.S. The issues plaguing the P1 GTR are highly and suspiciously reminiscent of the issue concerning the P1 GTR’s drift handling in Asphalt 8 when the car was initially released in the July 2015 v2.0.0 update. The drifting issue was fixed on the September 2015 v2.1.0 update.
