For some reason the game has reset my progress. Has there been a fix announced or shared for this?
Ironically, inside of the Forza Hub it shows my progress and cars owned/miles/etc correctly.
I am afraid of starting a game and advancing for fear that my save will be permanently overwritten. The game is starting with the intro as if it is day one! I have put too many hours and points into this game for this!!! HELP PLEASE

I have the same problem. We just turned on Forza Horizon 4 on XBox One S and all progress is gone. Is there a way to recover it?

I’m playing Forza on PC.
The same thing happened to me, started playing put in some hours, even got to online where I could see other racers.
After closing the game and starting the next day I started with 1 car, no online, no cash, no nothing…
But the PC Xbox app still says ive played 11 hours, bought my first car etc.
I have tried switching lobbys, going solo and online again before closing the game, but it still resets after restarting the game.
Need help, afraid to start over because it will be in vain…

I posted a few times about this yesterday. I’m afraid we’re not going to get this resolved based on things I’ve read from other users, from current to Horizon 3, never getting solved.
I’m entering the game anew right now. Time to buckle down and get back to it, there goes my 9 million credits I’ve saved up.

Y’all need to read the sticky that says [READ FIRST] and post this link every time someone posts about an issue that the community can’t help with. The support team does not read these forums; they will only help you if you create a ticket. The main purpose of threads like these, then, is to have a record along the lines of “hey guys, I had this issue and created a support ticket for it, but has anyone else experienced this?”

Zero response, so I figured I’d just give up.
I’ve started over, and am actually at level 30 or so again, I have a couple million dollars banked, got almost 400 forza points again, hand full of cars.
I’m ticked though because I havve to do all of the rental business, barn finds, stunts, lagamer, etc… get all my clothes back (black, so I can take pictures of the cars, not my stupid drivatar) and get my FE cars back. Other than that, it’s been neat to play it again. IT WAS SO NICE to play in Summer and Autumn again too =D
I have a similar issue but I have just reinstalled FH4. Long story short the Xbox app on my computer broke (kept saying I wasn’t connected to the internet) so after fixing that FH4 did that thing where it’ll close itself before the intro logos even loaded. Reinstalling it fixed that but the save didn’t load.
I opened a support ticket yesterday. Am I missing something about saving? I don’t see anywhere about saving locally vs cloud saving in game or the Xbox app. When I loaded my game it didn’t even try to load a cloud save it just immediately dropped me into the intro race. Is there a way to force it to load the cloud save or is there a way to even see what file is my cloud save? I haven’t played the game since this issue, only letting it load about 3 seconds of the intro movie before closing it. Hopefully my save file wasn’t overridden with just that :S
