Locations and Map

The map of Forza Horizon 4 should be big at least. The previous Horizon was small which at least you got those nearby landscapes, amazing environment, and the open areas where u can jump on the desert, wreck the fields, take photos, get wet, and shortcutting. Weirdest to tell every predictions that the 3rd was small while the 1st and 2nd are big with lengthy roads, zigzags, small cities, and elevated lands where you can view the distance. The game sounds exciting; I believe the map will be big than equivolent to the Austrailian map.

Bamburgh Castle in the background of the lighthouse scene? There’s no lighthouse near that castle from what I remember but that’s a bit of developers licence on the locations.

Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire would make a great town to drive around in this game. It’s biased on a grid system like the USA with boulevards and also has loads of roundabouts.
It’s not too built up and has plenty of trees and open spaces and tons of car parks … would make a great place for racing and drifting.

<Pedant alert!>

I notice in the videos that Chesterton Windmill has only four legs in Horizon 4, rather than the six legs it’s actually got.

If you look online you’ll see some pictures that are taken inline with a leg, and at first glance it looks like it’s only got four as the outer legs are one behind the other.

When the comparison video came out of FH4 and real life I was impressed. However I do wish that the cities and towns had more people and looked more lively. More birds, other animals and people need to be a thing imo. It really make the world feel alive. TC2 does that well imo.

That’s one of the few things looks wise that it does well. The Crew 2 is a massive downgrade looks wise to The Crew and even that looks far worse than FH 3 and maybe even FH 2. I would rather the nicer, more beautiful world of FH than the ugly world of the crew, which seems to only have about double the unique features of FH, the rest filled with repetitive and what seems to be procedurally generated forest

From the Forza livestream:
Interviewer: “Can we have a look at the map?”
Ralph F. : “We´re gonna do it next week when we fixed a bug with it”
(Said at 1:03:50)

If only there would be a south of England expansion. Except I know they don’t do proper land expansions. I’d settle for a separate world space, no? C’mon! New Forest, Jurassic Coast… Okay then :frowning:

Isle of Wight! That might be doable. It’s a shame I finally get a game in Britain and still can’t get anything local. All that aside they picked the best spots and I’m still thrilled about the setting.

I’ll be driving the IoW for real in a few days time! Been there many times and it would be a great location to have as DLC, The island has a more Mediterranean feel to it and the architecture is different, plus it has the beaches and cliffs, the harbour at Cowes, the southern coastal roads, the steep roads of Ryde for example and the fast country roads through the middle of the island.

edit: You could even drive on/off the Wightlink ferry to get you there and back!

FH4 map its big like FH3 map?

i have a wish for FH5 , please make a map of full Europe or a map where i need 10 hours to drive from one side to the other. (without fast traveling option)
that would make me happy.

In the last stream you can see “white horse” whic is real location as well.

They informed us in the live stream that we will get to see the full map on Tuesday. Apparently there are some bugs to sort out. I don’t think we will get to see the full map, it seems a lot earlier than usual to reveal it.

Being from South East England myself there are some things I hope they include in the map. Although several where seen in H2 I think it would be a shame not to include them.

Firstly a golf course, Scotland is well known for its links style courses set on the coast. Links courses have more bunkers and have many more slopes and hills. They are more untamed and follow the landscape more naturally.

Then it would be great to see many historical buildings and places of interest. They have stated that are three castles in the game - one at the festival, Edinburgh and Bamburgh. That’s good but the UK has so many ancient and medieval buildings and ruins that I hope they include many more. Places that resemble Stonehenge, Blenheim palace, or some Abbey ruins I think there is one in Gloucestershire?

Lastly some Garden of England style farms with polytunnels and Apple orchards. They would make some great playground areas as they did in H2.

Looking forward to more as so far I have every confidence in them creating an excellent environment

Ladybower Dam/Derwent Dam is near me (Derbyshire) and that’s the dam very accurately represented in the gameplay demo footage shown. Won’t let me post a photo. Google is your friend.
