Let it die and start "from the ground up"

Simple: It does not matter what Forza Motorsport is right now…it’s not it.
It’s not what players, car enthusiasts and especially Forza veterans what. So stop investing resources in an already dead game, which is not been saveable with the next updates (whenever they will come and whatever they will bring) because the damage the launch state and current state of the game done to it is just too high.

  • Should Turn10 let Forza Motorsport die and start developing the next game “from the ground up” at this point?
  • Yes
  • No
  • I don’t care about Forza Motorsport anymore

I voted No… I don’t think it should die, but at this point with this iteration of the title, it has to be accepted that it probably will never be great. There need to be a shake up at the top of T10 though… We need less corporate types running the show, and more Derek Bieri (Vice Grip Garage) types  Someone who loves cars, and car culture.

Thanks @Geese6666 , i have my moments  I try not to, to often though!

alas these are the arrogant words of a leader who thought he was above everything who suddenly comes down from high and they will be, we do not blame a man for his mistakes but we help him to move forward and do better. :+1:

everyone questions themselves one day, those who do not remain in their mediocrity and ignorance

There’s enough good in this game that it’s worth trying to save, for now at least.

Why ppl can vote the question?

I voted no, because i still have hope the game gets good in a quarter year or a half year or something.

Yet another ridiculous post. The game is no where near as bad as you make it sound. What about all the other games that released and have rebounded to great games in the end.We can all agree it needs work, let them attempt to fix it at least.FH5 was very buggy and missing tons of basic stuff it now has for many months, right?

If developpers let the game die i’d be a massive embaressment for them. Probably not a good look for their studio too. But with the game being live service and mostly focused on multiplayer, if forza players are truly not liking what’s been delivered , they can just stop playing the game. And essentially let it die so it actually sends the message back to the ones responsible. Player numbers matter a lot to them and we do have the power to say “no i’m not liking this and i quit”. But that’s not quite happening right now.

Truth is forza is a brand with tons of history and years of game releases… So it’s not going to trully “die” whatever that means ( it’s a bit of an exaggerated term ). But i honestly would like to see the players respond with not playing the game more, and essentially letting it die so xbox studio heads learn their lesson.

Otherwise you’re all just being gullible and taken advantage of. And they know they could do it again and get away with it.

ridiculous post I don’t think it only reflects the thoughts of a player that we all have one day or another while being honest with ourselves, we can’t blame someone for being frustrated for the price at which to pay for the games your vision of things is also positive to know to give them time to improve things. the ideal game does not work because we all have a different vision of things but we can help unite them and make a better vision or better development

Eventually it will die though, if they keep on the same path they’re on now. I see passion from the leadership of T10, but it’s a misplaced passion for the sales pitch, not for cars or car culture. There is only so much ‘snake oil’ you can sell before ya get chased out of town.

I voted NO as I’m enjoyed online racing. I acknowledge all the faults but I think they can turn things round if they listen to us gamers. There’s a good game in there which I’m sure they can fix. I brought the premium edition with my money not gamepass.

Which is why they’re now clanging the “Baby, please don’t go” bell as hard as they can, right?

 Good tune

Current and immediate future content does not interest me, online is a crash course with more collisions than a demo derby, and the lobbies are overrun with the Miata / Porsche 550.

Ignoring all this, the core single player experience is lacking, the menu system feels pasted together when selecting and upgrading cars, there’s a lack of decent livery for most cars due to the CarPG mechanic, the game crashes every other attempt at an online race.

Yeah, I don’t care enough about Forza Motorsport 2023 to put any more time into it. As a side benefit I get 130GB disk space back.

As egregious and boring the new Motorsport is, T10 need to understand, fully acknowledge their mistakes and heavily rework this game. I hope they do not let their work and our money go to waste if they have any passion for their cars, racing and their work . Dealbreakers like the graphics and visuals such car colors, car modeling, paint textures, exterior lighting, droney audio and car sounds, livery system and paint booth need to be significantly overhauled. Fully rework the ForzaVista, in-game shaders, car XP progression, AI, add more modes of racing like drift & rally, casual multiplayer modes back to FORZA, reworked penalty system and really stabilizing the multiplayer system with harsh penalties for rammers. Finally, a proper OFFLINE mode for single players like every other FORZA. “New“ content will not fix the foundation.

There’s no coming back in my opinion for Forza Motorsport if this continues to fail to deliver.
