Public opinion: do you see t10 turning this around?

Yes we’ve all read the negativity the polls the reviews and we have most certainly played this title with our bare hands.

But are you hopeful t10 can turn this around or is it too little too late, had the damage been done.

Is fm8 too far gone to fix?

  • Yes it’s too late.
  • No I think they can.
  • I couldn’t care I’ve lost interest in Forza

Yeah, it might take a while though…

Poorly-worded.
“Do you see t10 turning this around?”
“…Yes it’s too late.”

Yes they can turn it around?
Or yes it’s too late & they can’t turn it around?
??
“…No I think they can.”
No they can’t turn it around?
Or no it’s not too late & they can turn it around?

Can’t change the poll options, so added a title before the poll. Hopefully it’s clear now for you.

Only if they invest enough money in it. And that is I think the problem; will the investors and execs do that?

They need to let devs work on it the entire way through instead of firing them after a couple years.

All Microsoft wants is money, unless they think that this game somehow miraculously starts selling, I don’t think we will get this game to playable state

All any company wants is money.
If they want the game to sell more, they need to make the game worth buying.
Launching straight to Game Pass likely means that the game itself will never sell well because subscribers don’t need to buy it.
So they kinda painted themselves into a corner there.
Being on Game Pass, the game could try to make more money by selling add-ons (DLC, season passes, cosmetics, etc.), but nobody will want to buy add-ons for such a low-quality game.
They’re not going to get more money out of this game without investing more into it first.

They can but they need to listen to what we want and even if they do it’s not happening any time soon. There are so many things that haven’t changed in years that have been highly requested. Things that would fix some of the major issues this game has. T10 so far have ignored most of them. If they don’t start listening and adding the things we want there won’t be a T10 or Forza Motorsport any more. All developers need to learn that we are the ones that spend money on their games and if they aren’t what we want we stop buying and playing them.

Its hard to expect for this game to be fixed if we look at how bad was fm7 till the end, and we got same issues here, like memory leak, same peer to peer connection (=lot of lags and desync).

I bought cp2077 at lunch, even tho it was buggy mess, but in case of cd project red I knew sooner or later game will be fixed, but here… Its just hard to trust turn 10/Microsoft

PLEASE hear me out TURN10!

I´m one of your biggest fan when it comes to Forza Motorsport (NOT Horizon), and i have bought and played all 8th games since it begun 2005.

This series is one of the most realistic car sims out there, and that´s exactely what i whant in a racing game. I can´t stand all new “arcade typs” out there. Don´t get me started with Need For Speed. OMG! Sure Grand Turismo is a nice sim game but there is something missing in the final tuch in that series.

SO! Please guys MAKE FORZA MOTORSPORT GREAT AGAIN! :cowboy_hat_face:

Idon´t know what happened or the reason to why FM8 where rushed and released in this “beta” state as it actually is. But you probebly had your reasons.
All iknow it has to be fixed and reclaim the honor as THE best racing sim game in the world. :racing_car:

Some pointers:

#1 When adding new car brands and models, don´t delete any of the old ones that all ready exists in the previus games.

#2 When you promise a huge game detail addon as real engeine and exaust sounds on every car in game. Please keep that promise in the future. EX. Subaru Impreza WRX STi 22B that was driven by the most skilled and fearless driver of all times (Calin McRay) had probebly agreed with me when i say, the one in this game do not sound like a Boxer Engine at all. No, it sound more like att 24v Honda Civic VVT engine…

#3 Iknow you guys are working on a new car level system and will relase it in update 6 and thats a good step in the right direction. BUT that´s not all… The game missing a some kind of revard system when you collect cars. It feels pointless to stock up on cars and spend all those credits.

#4 Playerlevel also feels pointless. How about using your playerlevel to unlock those iconic racing and hypercars, as you progress you get acsess to faster and faster cars.
EX. In the beginning of the game when your playerlevel is low. The only cars that is unlocked in the shop is the ones in class E. And when you drive challenges you are able to rent those cars with a higher class that you havent yet unlocked.

In a final request/wish. Please add SAAB to the game. SAAB has a rich history in motorsport and also made Fighter Jet Planes side by side with the cars.

Best regards!

Driving feels good and that’s the only reason I’ll stay. The game wrapped around it is of such low production quality I don’t think it’ll ever reach a state I would rate as “good”.

Sure, we will see some adjustments here and there as with the upcoming one for carXP.
But breathing life into the shallow and uninspiring SP, bringing the AI to an acceptable level, fixing FRR and adding quality & QoL to the numerous issues (paint booth, tuning, menu!) is such a monumental task, it would be more reasonable to just make a new game. The conceptual failure is too severe.

Yeah I keep playing this game only because of how good driving is in this game, everything else is just bad.

I think that’s exactly why we are still playing the game, it’s not perfect, but it’s very enjoyable.

Players are giving to Turn10 a tons of ideas for improve the game.
They let them know things they would like to change (forza aero for exemple)
They let know things they would like to comeback (like voted tracks)
A lot agree about the era before FM5 was better, a lot would like to play to a FM4 remastered for examples.

The “most of the job” is done by players, but them, they just sitting and don’t listen anything of what we are saying, or what we want.
They just “build from the ground up” things, remove contents, and here you got it, you delivery a bad product nobody was asking for.

But we have hope because it was good on old days, and it’s not only nostalgia, it was really better.
And also they’re not really a game who can compet actually against FM, (FM did it way better than GT for controllers for me, i don’t count the graphics or something else on it) so we are stuck with FM

Tbh for me fh5 was better than fh4, better online tracks, better handling. But well reuse of cars that were already in fh4 was quite annoying.

Yeah, and this is where I think Motorsport is doomed in the long run. Why put more money into this game when they can put it into Horizon? It’s hard to see at this point what Motorsport is bringing to the business that Horizon doesn’t.

I think the game will improve.

I don’t think the game will ever break 10,000 concurrent players on Steam.

For the same reason they ever started putting money into it:
to tap into the market of simcade players who purchased tens of millions of units of Gran Turismo games.
…but they need to get closer to GT’s quality standards if they want to get closer to GT’s level of success.

With enough time and effort, sure they can.
